20.01.2022 A thought for today...... It’s easy in seasons where we get squeezed to feel the absense of God. Can I encourage everyone to take sometime each day to just be still. Psalm 46:10 NIV [10] He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Finding peace in your storm will be found! Start by being still.....

19.01.2022 Today’s thought. Yesterday I encouraged you to take sometime to be still each day, (preferably all day), and KNOW that He is God. The problem comes, as it seems this is easier said then done, especially in a storm. There’s a passage in luke 4, where Jesus reads a portion from Isaiah’s book and at the end of this passage it says everyone’s eyes were fixed on Him. Luke 4:17-20 NKJV [17] And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found... the place where it was written: [18] "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; [19] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." [20] Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. Here’s two keys from this scripture for us to be still......and remain still. Firstly, we need to understand who Jesus is. Read Luke 4:18-20 again, this will help in understanding who He is. He is the Lord!!! Then we need to fix our eyes on Him and remain focused on Him. As soon as the storm gets our attention we lose our peace.....
