25.01.2022 Avoid avoidance.....awareness of and facing the triggers unleashes the hold they can have on us.

25.01.2022 If you have Netflix, important to watch this docu/drama. Hopefully it will help you to step back and analyse your social media use. I heard recently on a podcast, an interesting question......if it cost $1 for every minute on social media, how much per week would you be prepared to pay? i.e if you spend just 30 minutes per day on social media, then that would cost you $210 per week. Would you prepared to pay that? What are you getting for the $210? I have personally culled my Facebook use. This is the longest I have been on it in weeks, just posting this!

15.01.2022 When faced with something we have not faced before, we are charged with contemplating the world and how we do things, wondering if there is a much better way. Hopefully this time out will provide such an opportunity to look more deeply at ourselves and the way we do what we do.

14.01.2022 Many of you are likely experiencing unprecedented levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and even anger right now. We will get through this. Here is one thing you can do now, or simply when you feel like it, to centre yourself and feel less stressed:... Deep Relaxation from Five Good Minutes by Jeffrey Brantley, MD and Wendy Millstine How often do you wish you could calm down or just relax? Everyone has a built-in capacity for deep relaxation, but they may not appreciate or know how to access it. This practice will teach you a way to connect with your own ability for deep inner relaxation. 1. Breathe mindfully for about a minute. 2. Set your intention. For example, May this practice of deep relaxation bring me health and ease. 3. Focus mindfully on the sensations of your breath, in and out. 4. Imagine that you are inhaling calm and peace. With each out-breath, exhale any unnecessary tension in your body. 5. Breathe this way for a few more minutes. Let the actual flow of your breath support you, bringing in peace and carrying out tension. 6. End by opening your eyes and moving gently.
