15.01.2022 Trading for nearly 40 years, Genie Exhaust has gained an enviable reputation for quality products and workmanship located near Garden City Shopping Centre in Booragoon. We are looking for a Full-Time Exhaust Fabricator / Fitter who is committed, honest, and who will be a loyal staff member who takes great pride in their work; Someone with a Fix it Right First Time attitude. We do require industry experience regardless of qualification. You must be able to hit the ground runn...ing. Whilst we are happy to train to some degree you must still have substantial industry exhaust fabrication and fitting knowledge. Hourly rate will be discussed at the interview and dependent on experience and qualifications. The position is Full-time 38 hour week Monday to Friday plus overtime as required, and every third Saturday morning; however as a family friendly employer we are prepared to discuss hours. Duties will include but not limited to; -Exhaust fitting, fabrication, and repairs -Welding -Tube Bending (Blue Boy machines) -Oxy cutting -Customer Service Pre-requisites; -Good all-around knowledge of Australian Vehicles. -MUST be able to Mig weld (Tig experience highly valued). -MUST have a current driver's license (Manual preferable). -Customer service skills with an impeccable phone manner. -Have excellent attention to detail. -Reliable, honest, and trustworthy. -Well presented. -Computer literate. -Permanently reside in Australia. 13.01.2022 This last weekend we headed off for Bully’s campout 2021, an annual event held at the beautiful Southern Star Caravan Park in Dunsborough. We have been trying to get to this event since it started and finally, in its third year, we made it. Tetnu5, the 51 Chevy got us to Dunsborough in good time and much petrol on Friday arvo. The venue was sensational, the catering tasty and plentiful, our hosts jovial and accommodating, the weather like only WA’s South West can supply. We have been inspired to get the 34 Hot-Rod finished and licensed this year, and begin planning the build on the 46 Coupe UteBully’s Campout we will be back, thank you xxxx. 05.01.2022 There is something incredibly fulfilling watching our work experience kids become young adults and go off into the world.. Rhys came to us as a very green 14-year-old to do some work experience on Saturday mornings a few years ago. Those Saturday mornings became every Monday when Rhys started a Vocational Education Training (VET) course during his year 11 and 12 studies at Peter Carnley Anglican Community School. Today, Rhys starts his Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Mechanical. He will always be a part of the Genie team and we can not wait to see where his future leads. Good Luck Rhys, we are very proud of what you have achieved so far.
