25.01.2022 Miss Wella Miss Wella has a special knack of communicating with some of the children in our centre who don't speak very much english. She really assists them to feel safe, secure and supported while at Genius and we are ever so grateful to have that support for these children. She also a sweet, kind educator who we love and adore!

We have already overheard some very honest and in depth conversations she has been having with our lovely Hinterland class about "life" We are watching this busy class go from strength to strength and we cant wait to see how far they go!

21.01.2022 Today Bravehearts came to visit! Throughout our days at genius in the 3-5 hub, we have noticed the children are becoming very inquisitive about their private parts. So as an extension of their learning and to discuss in a meaningful way we brought in the ditto show This is a educational talk about children’s private parts and how they belong to themselves and how to keep those private parts safe. ... Feel free to continue to have meaningful conversations about this incursion with your children over the coming days about what they learnt during this experience

19.01.2022 Ice Play All of our children Love to play with water, but its nothing like watching our babies Splash and tip and pour (and sometimes drink ) Through this experience the children experience different sensations through touch as well as what happens as the Ice sits in the water and melts (cause and effect) revealing their hidden items inside. Sometimes we help them along by banging and pouring warm water over the ice. ... Mr H splashed and played with his ice until a baby Lion was revealed.

15.01.2022 Meal times is a lovely time to enjoy some one on one with our little babies. While they are all on their personalised routines, meal times are a fun way to engage in one on one experiences and build upon those relationships that are formed with the babies. Here Miss Jess and Miss M were enjoying a quiet moment eating Afternoon Tea while some other friends enjoyed their naps. Miss M looked thoroughly content during this time and happily ate her food and smiled at Miss Jess in between spoonfuls of yummy apple and pear pureè

Today is your day, a day to celebrate and for us to let you know how much you are appreciated and loved! We know we would usually do a BBQ on the rooftop. However, it seems all of our families love Kevin's cooking so much, you all love to attend. which means there will be to...o many of us in the building to ensure social distancing during these times. 09.01.2022 Miss Tayzia Miss Tayzia is such a people person! the 2-3 classes love it when Miss Tayz is about. She loves to cook and do science experiments and also helps us remember to keep our things tidy and safe. Tayzia is all about the children and they are her priority while she is at daycare.

09.01.2022 Colour Sorting and counting The Toddlers are learning all about colours! We have been using all different activities and resources for the children to sort and recognise different colours while practising their counting skills. How many yellow items can you see? 2

She has grown so much since starting and her passion is only just starting! we can wait to see you grow and build your knowledge! Your relationships with the families is your strong suit and i think we will all agree that they love you just as much as the children!

08.01.2022 Introducing Miss Colleen Miss Colleen is our Kindy Teacher. With years of experience and knowledge as well as being a centre director we are so excited to watch our kindy class thrive! Miss Colleen has already hit the ground running and is so eager to teach and guide our kindy class to greatness!

07.01.2022 Learning Shapes At Genius we try and encourage the children to learn in their own ways as well as challenge their thinking! On Wednesday our 2-3 class's were learning how to draw/mirror different shapes! While they painted one side of the shape (traced Miss Selena's half triangle/circle) the children then folded their paper and were then able to recognise the shape that appeared before their eyes! ... They were so amazed and the children were so excited. They sat beautifully watching as the children each had a turn with Miss Selena, watching each shape appear and having discussions about what they could see!

05.01.2022 Miss Amy Miss Amy does float all around the centre but is lucky enough to spend time with all of the children in the centre. She has a heart of gold and does her absolute best each and every day

05.01.2022 Miss Delshad MIss Delshad floats around our centre giving cuddles as she goes. Delshad enjoys playing in the sandpit and building sandcastles with the children as well as enjoying group times and reading stories.

01.01.2022 Whats in the Box? Today our Nursery bubs explored a box. They hid special treasures and moved their hands about inside to try and find them. This experience encouraged the children to use their sense of Touch and Sight as well and their fine motor skills. Little Miss O was so excited when she found her favourite rattle inside with the pretty beads on it, she then decided to put it back to her to find again a little later. ... It's the simple things that count the most
