25.01.2022 Nature Painting This week the babies and toddlers are exploring nature and the world around them. First off they are using natural materials to explore the textures. They used the outside leaves and honky nuts to create their paintings. 14.01.2022 Playdough Today the babies and toddlers extended on their colour recognition learning by creating playdough. They each helped add the ingredients to the mixing bowl and then green food dye. Once the playdough was formed they used their sensory skills and their hand and eye coordination skills to explore the playdough. Miss Kyla spoke to the children about the colour green and some of the other objects around them that are green in their environment. #geniusforrestfield #learningthroughplay #sensoryskills

The children followed instructions from educator's to exit out of the centre safely and in a timely manner. Well done to all of our friends for exiting the centre in a calm and safe time. 09.01.2022 The children in the toddlers room have been focusing on sounds and music, today we set up drum painting. We set up orange and purple paint with popsticks and paper. The children engaged in the experience one by one. They used their fine motor skills as well as their hand and eye co ordination skills to use both hands to tap the popsticks onto the paper creating a drum effect. The children enjoyed today's experience while listening to music to entice the learning experience. #geniusforrestfield
