25.01.2022 Halloween Day Yesterday Genius Childcare Home Hill had a fun filled more engaging in Halloween themed activities. Children and Staff were encouraged to join the fun dressing up in some fantastic costumes. We made ourselves into mummies, created pumpkins and threaded some webs for our spiders to live in. 'Celebrating Halloween promotes intercultural understanding and respect for cultural diversity amongst children in a care setting. 14.01.2022 KS FOR KIDS This year the team at Genius Childcare Home Hill are participating in Ks for Kids. Ks for Kids is all about getting active and helping find answers for the 6000 childhood genetic diseases and cancers that impact 1 in 20 Aussie Kids. By stepping up in May, we in partnership with you will be supporting the Children’s Medical Institute (CMRI) to advance the treatment and prevention of childhood diseases, so every child has the opportunity for a healthy start to l...ife. CMRI pioneered microsurgery, immunisations against lethal childhood illnesses and care for premature babies, all of which have improved the lives of countless Australian children over the last 60 years. Today, CMRI is the site of world-leading research in areas such as cancer, neurobiology, embryology, genomics and gene therapy. Ks for Kids encourages us to take 6000 steps a day in May while fundraising for vital funds that support our Aussie kids. Genius Childcare Home Hill has teamed up under the name ‘A Little Genius Goes A Long Way’ to play our part in the development and support of our kids. Throughout the community you may find Money Boards on behalf of our team at $2 a number and a raffle that has a great Outdoor Children’s Prize Pack including a Wooden Children’s Picnic Table. I commenced with studying my certificate three in school before commencing my Diploma last year and happily completed in December 2020. Favourite Thing About Childcare Giving the children the chance and ability to learn and create. Philosophy I believe that all children learn through play and I will always provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine. 01.01.2022 Yesterday we welcomed a special guest to our service. Councillor Max Musumeci toured our newly renovated facilities and officially welcomed Genius Childcare Home Hill into the Burdekin Shire. Director Tamara and Councillor Max spoke about the recent upgrades and plans for Genius Childcare in 2021. We are currently working with council to have a crossing installed to make for safer transitions around the service and to our local primary school.
