25.01.2022 Relationships require two way conversation, otherwise they are called monologues, right? Are you spending time hearing from God? Are you letting him speak to you or are you doing all the talking? God is so eager to hear from you because he’s your real and ideal father. Samuel who was only 12 years old began hearing from God when he simply said, Speak Lord for your servant us listening 1 Sam 3:7-11... Give it a go. Your life could change, one conversation at a time. There are so many ways that God can speak to you but the most definite and accurate way is through His word. Start in the gospel of John and just read a few verses each day. Be assured that God speaks through His Word; He’s got stuff to say to you! The issue is never that God is silent, it’s that we often put him on mute. But not you and not today! Turn off that mute button and pin your ears to His voice.

14.01.2022 We asked Suzie (Co-founder of GenJ) what her coffee order is and why she’s passionate about equipping Disciplers. Here’s what she said: My coffee order is an almond latte but if I have the option of bubble tea with pearls, I’d go for that instead. ... If I had to strip back my passion for equipping Disciplers into 3 key areas, I’d have to say: (1) I was discipled myself from the age of 18, so as the recipient of someone intentionally discipling me, I know the life changing power of this. In my teens, I was taught what Jesus-likeness looks like and I was coached through a very clear road map of how to become more and more like Jesus. This provided me with spiritual clarity and a GPS system for how to navigate through life as a genuine Christian. I always knew that what I had learnt was a unique gold mine because I constantly met (and still meet) Christians who don’t know how to describe Jesus-likeness without using a truck load of adjectives that leave the average person feeling more confused than equipped. (2) My DNA has always leaned towards finding and mastering practical tools that help me and others get better at life. Something within me also comes to life any time I am able to lead someone to an aha moment and leave them with tools that equip them for life. My mind ticks ‘practical tools’ rather than ‘cryptic cliches’ which has been a great God-given skill to help disciple others, and along side Peter, design a discipling framework that helps believers disciple others. (3) Being in church leadership for about two decades continually fired me up to be a voice for passionate wholehearted Christianity that makes Jesus-likeness the benchmark and abolishes the belief that Christianity is about turning up to church, knowing Christian lingo and doing Christian things. I have a fire in my belly to resource those who are willing to turn their back on religiosity and pursue Jesus-likeness in every area of their life.

14.01.2022 Disciple-makers may lack the confidence and skills to develop others. Disciple-making training programs can often be limited to teaching people the skills to share the Gospel. GenJ seeks to resources disciplers with educational strategies to develop and multiply disciples. ... We do NOT want to motivate disciplers to multiply disciples who talk-the-talk, but Jesus-like disciples who walk-the-walk and wow their communities with the aroma of Jesus wherever they go. At GenJ one of the ways we seek to equip disciple makers is through Communities of Disciplers, otherwise knows as CoDs. CoDs are a vehicle for spiritual development that encourages transparency for growth and simplicity for multiplication. GenJ CoDs are small online groups aimed at helping disciples and disciple makers develop spiritually and multiply. 08.01.2022 A prayer for your week ahead Father God, Help me to have eyes to see you clearer. ... Help me to have ears to hear your whisper. Help me have a heart to know your deeper. When I get distract would you tap me on the shoulder and help me fix my gaze back on you. This week I humbly come and say would you help me draw into a deeper intimacy with you like I have never experience before. I want to know you more, but I need you to help me. Thank you that you hear me and thank you that you will help me. I love you Father - come and consume me more. Amen.

02.01.2022 We asked Peter Botross (Co-founder of GenJ) what his coffee order is, and why he’s passionate about equipping Disciplers. Here’s what he said: For years I’ve been enjoying my 3 lattes a day. Recently, I’ve involuntary (hopefully temporarily) converted to long blacks! ... I’ve devoted my life to equipping disciplers because of the impact it’s had on me personally. I have had first-hand experience of the transforming power of equipping disciplers. From a young age, almost 34 years ago, my Dad invested a significant amount of time and energy to inspire me to live as a disciple and to disciple others. He modelled and taught a type of Christianity that was worth suffering for... really, literally. It was a breathtaking brand of Christianity that I observed in the midst of my parents’ challenges, persecution and imprisonments, for the cause of Jesus. Duplicating this brand of Christianity proved so much harder than I anticipated. As I commenced full-time ministry mid-2000s, I was deeply frustrated by the prevailing culture of religious churchainity in my ministry contexts. I had failed to help leaders develop and equip disciples. I sought to learn a way that develops believers into Jesus-likeness. In 2007, I embarked on a Doctorate research in the field of education and ministry. This resulted in a discipling framework that is deeply rooted in scripture and education, tackling the core of exactly HOW individuals experience actual transformation. This further fuelled my passion to equip disciplers who multiply disciplers. I dream to see disciplers multiply Jesus-like disciples everywhere across the entire world. Since 2003, I’ve been holding onto God’s promises of an unprecedented revival that will spring forth from grass roots discipleship. Revival that will impact every town with a brand of Christianity that honours Jesus and transforms the world.
