25.01.2022 Spotted a bit of pelican surfing on my beachwalk. Apparently pelicans are into a beach bubble bath too. NB it was not my dog chasing the poor thing and bird and beast doing fine. #writinginspiration #beachlife #pelican #pelicans #pelicansofinstagram #beachbird #beachbirds #beachvibes
25.01.2022 The Hound and the Moon. When your morning walk sounds more like a Sherlock Holmes novel you know that autumn is here. #morningwalks #morningwalksarethebest #pointerpuppy #writinglife
24.01.2022 this is me hunting for a plot.
24.01.2022 Anyone else seen Hamilton? Saw it on Friday night. Australian cast did a fabulous job. Special mention to Brent Hill who played George III. His comic timing was perfect. In some ways it is more like an opera than musical theatre as it is all sung - (rapping counts as singing right?) Controversial opinion here. Rap is like anchovies on pizza. You either love it, hate it, or think like me, a little goes a long way. We were lucky to actually get there as a young mum with a screaming baby, demonstrating not so perfect timing, ploughed into the back of us slap bang in the middle of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Murphy's Rule dictated it had to be Peak hour but fortunately low speed and minor damage. It's been quite the week . #hamiltonthemusical #weekendadventures #murphysrule #writinglife
20.01.2022 Wild weather. Same stretch of beach before and after the week of endless rain. No prizes for guessing which is which.
18.01.2022 Weird Wednesday. First the frogs and now this little guy has moved in. Or girl. How do you tell the sex of a turtle? #nofilter #backyardwildlife #turtlesofinstagram #turtles #turtle
14.01.2022 My head is in London in 1605 but my feet are on a walking track in Forster. From gunpowder plots and treason to wide blue ocean.
14.01.2022 Brand new day. Brand new job. How lucky am I to have a whole beach to myself for a bit of zen time before launch. Hope your day has at least a few great to be alive moments. #beachlife #coastalliving #authorlife #walking #bookstagrammer
10.01.2022 Sunset photo for the day. Forster ocean pool. Loved how the pink clouds were reflected in the water.
10.01.2022 Mabel the vampire slayer. Pleased to report we are now safe from vampires as Mabel has added a wooden stake to her collection of treasured items....along with a large shell, a few rocks, the handle from the clothesline, various species of weed she helped to extract etc. It's an eclectic collection! #collector #collections #bookstagram #pointerpuppy
10.01.2022 Didn't hurt a bit. Had my first Covid vaccination today since the new job as an aged care assessor involves visiting multiple aged care facilities. It's the first time I've been glad to be over fifty! Hoping the rollout picks up pace. #covidvacccine #immunisation #bringiton
08.01.2022 One of the neighbours. It was a bit of a challenge to get this shot with the bird dog in tow. Video attempt swiftly aborted to save my shoulder from dislocation when the heron took flight. Oh the things you do for social media. #walkies #beachbird #beachlife #beachwalks #amwritingromance
06.01.2022 This is an pretty close to how I imagined the heroine in my novel The Swordmaster's Daughter looks. Gorgeous but somewhat feisty.
01.01.2022 Easter break sorted. Books and buns on the back verandah. Can't wait to read "Nothing to See Here". Children that spontaneously combust when they get agitated! Can so relate to that... What are you all looking forward to reading over Easter? #holidayreads #backverandah #
01.01.2022 Great spot at Blackhead beach for a swim between editing. Bit chilly but cleared the head!
