18.01.2022 HARRY What can I say! It is All about Harry just ask him! A gregarious fun-loving people pleaser with a sense of humour. Harry spends his days just wanting to make people smile in exchange for tummy rubs. Harry has a heart as big as himself.

08.01.2022 NALA Nala has just come into our family and is developing nicely as she finds her character and place in the pack. She has a long way to go yet. Nala is sweet and gentle but still enjoys a rough and tumble with her brothers Dylan and Finlay. She has her human father wrapped around her little paw whenever she flutters her eyelashes.

08.01.2022 OLIVIA March 2001 August 2010 Sadly Olivia is no longer with us she passed away in August 2019 after a short journey with cancer.... Olivia is the reason that Gently Friends came about. She was a huge beautiful and cheeky girl and my crutch during my recuperation from a debilitating car accident. I was in a wheel chair for many months and subsequently on crutches before attempting to walk unaided. Olivia was beside me and because of her size was always ready for me to lean on if my legs felt wobbly or my confidence waned. She comforted me if I felt down and laughed with me during happy moments. If she could do this for me then why not try and help other people who would enjoy the comfort and support of by beautiful big girl? Our first facility was Bandyup Womens Prison and Olivia certainly made a statement. She was adored by many, officer and prisoners alike. Olivia did this fo many years and it has now grown to encompass Wandu Rehabilitation Prison, Boronea Pre Release Centre as well as Melaleuca Remand and Reintegration Facility. The value of the work was evident and as she could not cover it alone, Harry joined the ranks together with Dylan and now Finlay. Nala is hoping to join them as they continue the work in Olivias memory. Everyone who knew Olivia loved her and she has left a huge hole in our hearts, however the rest of the pack are doing their best to help people in the same way she did. Thank you, Olivia for your presence in my life and everyone you have touched. RIP

06.01.2022 Hi . Currently as everyone is aware we are going through extremely difficult times. The prisons both staff and residents are experiencing stress but I would like to let you all know that Gentle Friends are still visiting. Obviously we are practicing social distancing but the dogs involved are on extended leads and still receiving cuddles and in return showing affection to anyone who wishes it. We are creating smiles and laughter and for a short while Covid 19 is not at the forefront of everyones thoughts. My team and myself will continue going in wherever and whenever we can.

05.01.2022 FINLAY He is the clown of the pack without realizing it. His face says it all WHO ME? I DIDNT DO IT! He has the sweetest nature and is still very much a youngster and is a little boy you cannot help loving always by your side just touching you to make sure you are there.
