If you have property in your sole name and your husband or wife did not pay for it, contribute to it in any way over 20 years but there were children cared for and other non-financial contributions can the non-financial spouse claim on your property? The answer is "YES". That property in your sole name forms part of the matrimonial pool of property. It also applies to bank accounts in only one person's name.
