23.01.2022 It was such a cool feeling to see everybody enjoying The Colour Patch Cafe & Restaurant for the very first time over the weekend! It was somewhat symbolic that the Augusta Adventure Race was on over the weekend too, because we were running our own epic race to the finish line, and we made it! Here's a little re-edited/updated version of the last video I posted to get everybody excited about this amazing new place to eat, drink and relax in Augusta. 22.01.2022 This recently completed project near Fremantle was shot by @dionrobeson and designed by @mi_shack. Our clients inspiration for the home was there love for the famed architect Richard Neutra. Consideration of purpose built furniture is evident in Neutra’s designs, which is an element missing from so many homes today. This space is used by the family to enjoy time together and hanging on the wall is the iconic Slim Aaron’s print of the Neutra designed home, built for the Kaufma...nn family which is the family’s constant reminder of what inspired this build journey. 20.01.2022 Perth emigre architect Iwan Iwanoff was most famous for his incredibly unique sculptural brutalist houses in the 1970s. But long before this he designed some st...unning homes dating back to this one built in 1958 for the German consul in Perth, Siegfried Schmidt-Lademann and his family. Kate Borland chatted to Iwanoff's biographer Warren Anderson and Iwanoff's son Michael about Iwanoff's timeless contribution to Perth architecture. The film also features a recent interview with Siegfried's wife Jutta recorded in Germany by Fabian Schmidt-Lademann. 15.01.2022 Just wanted to share a pretty cool moment in time we had earlier this year. The project is the renovation of the iconic Colour Patch Cafe which is located right on the river front of the Blackwood River in Augusta WA. This moment in time was lifting a 30 foot yacht into its final resting place. Since then we have been building the entire project around the boat, which is being turned into a bar for everyone to enjoy a locally sourced beer or wine while enjoying the views.... Project to be completed in the coming weeks!

Now we are hours away from signing this project off and handing it over to its operators who will be stamping their own mark on Augusta’s history.
