24.01.2022 At the ripe old age of 76, Geoff Pickering claimed the Production 4WD class for an incredible 13th time of his career #AORC

24.01.2022 Section one start.

24.01.2022 Team getting ready for St George 399. Looking forward to first race of the season.

24.01.2022 Great day at the track. Car was faultless in very challenging conditions. Multiple near misses in the wet slippery conditions but Geoff bought the car home with next to no damage ( R.I.P Geoff’s mirror) . 5 Laps tomorrow bring it on!

23.01.2022 Update on today’s prologue. Finished 4th in class. Not the result we were looking for but happy Geoff looked after the car for the big race tomorrow. Well done to Drew, Tim and Jodie, you guys are very competitive and we can’t wait to go racing tomorrow!!

21.01.2022 Congratulations Geoff on being inducted into the Off-road racing hall of fame. Thank you to everyone that attended the awards night.

19.01.2022 Great to accept another off road national championship trophy. The team is very excited to get the 2019 season started and looking forward to the st George 399. We have big things planned for this year.

16.01.2022 It was a tough run up against some great teams, but we prevailed and came through from 4th to 1st to the Finke end. Now to rest up and reset for another great race back to Alice in the morning.

15.01.2022 Team GPR are through scrutiny and ready to race. Long course recon all done and the track looks great. A few people bogged out on recon made for some good action today.

14.01.2022 Unfortunately our day ended before it really got going. About 24kms in on the first lap we hit a hole with the right front wheel which broke the lower ball joint and put us into a tree . Everyone is okay and it was a relatively low speed incident. Big thank you to russel and Ashley who did an incredible job helping to recover the vehicle. looking forward to coming back next year with the car all fixed up!!

13.01.2022 Getting ready for prologue.

09.01.2022 Every race we go to we have the great job of setting up our Pit tent. Today we thought we should video it’s construction. Here’s a quick time lapse. Not the most fun thing to assemble but definitely worth it once it’s up!!

09.01.2022 Ready to go for day 1 of FINKE 2019. Looking to get car down in one piece so we can do it all again tomorrow. Thanks for everyone’s support and we will update again as soon as we can.

08.01.2022 FINKE 2019 Here we come. Pajero ready for action, testing today and tomorrow.

08.01.2022 And hopefully more to come!! We are not done yet!!

07.01.2022 What a race!! Sorry for the lack of updates, it has been a very busy two days. Yesterday started off with Jody Beating us by over a minute in the first section and leaving us with plenty of work to do today. Geoff drove very hard in the 2nd heat this morning and managed to claw back 30sec or so. With plenty of time still to be made up it was a very tight race in the 3rd heat with jody and brandon gaining on us significantly in the first lap. Second lap was a different story with Geoff putting the foot down and finishing just in front to take out the round win. Thank you to Bernard for preparing an excellent car, the Pajero was flawless all race. Also a big thank you to jody for being a great competitor and pushing us for the entire weekend. BRING ON FINKE!

03.01.2022 Prologue start.

01.01.2022 Another Finke class 7 win for the team. However it definitely did not come without its challenges. Day 1 was a very tough run down to FINKE with only rear wheel drive. Big thank you to Bernard, Ron and Wyatt for putting in a late night to swap out a broken front diff. Today was a great drive car felt amazing with all 4 wheels turning with no issues whatsoever. Thanks to drew in the 777 Pajero for a fierce battle, made for some great racing.

01.01.2022 Geoff Pickering Racing team has arrived in St George for the Cobb and co. 399 Long course has been driven and track looks fantastic! Really looking forward to racing here. A few adjustments made to the car to ensure its in A1 condition. Now off to scrutiny to have car inspected.
