"I was inspired to write this piece when I attended a flamenco concert and besides the wonderful guitar work I was smitten by the women dancers. To see their dresses moving to the music with such passion was mesmerizing. The air was filled with beautiful colors. In my piano work I tried to capture the energy and color of a Flamenco dance. The biggest challenge I found is the syncopation that the music demands. Like East Indian music, it is more of a feeling than trying to count it. "
