06.01.2022 Warning... pictures of a deceased humpback whale. Yesterday Ops manager Jacinta had the opportunity to advise and assist in coordinating the retrieval of a 9.5m humpback whale carcass from the shores of peppermint beach. As you would expect this whale brought in some of the biggest sharks to be seen in the area. The pressure was on to get the area cleaned and cleared Asap to deem it safe for the public. We would like to commend the mammoth efforts of the Capel Shire and its rangers, DBCA, Picton Civil and the Fisheries Dept. The job went smoothly and quickly and the job was completed in a matter of hours. Huge effort by all!
