22.01.2022 The Geographical Society of NSW is pleased to announce funding of a series of grants (up to a maximum of $500 per award) for early career and precariously employed researchers. The aim of this funding is to assist this cohort to participate in the 2021 IAG/NZGS Conference. 17.01.2022 The Society's first virtual Honours/Masters Conference was a huge success. Thank you to the University of NSW and in particular, Professor Matthew Kearnes for organising and hosting a fantastic Conference. The 2020 Jim Rose winners are: - Tara Elisabeth Jeyasingh from the University of NSW Canberra who won Best Paper at the Conference. - Lachlan Perris from the University of Sydney who won the Award for a Highly Commended Presentation on a Physical Geography Topic. - Liz Murphy-May from the University of Newcastle and Marie Harrowell from the University of Sydney who both won an Award for a Highly Commended Presentation on a Human Geography Topic.

11.01.2022 Please note the new application closing date for these Awards has been extended until 19 April 2021, reflecting the conference extension on abstract submissions.
