25.01.2022 Our young people are our future leaders and need to be given a voice. When they speak, its important we listen. I have been approached by many teenagers who would like a basketball court in Forrestfield. The City of Kalamunda currently has funding to redevelop Lincoln Reserve. Timing is everything!... I have written to the City of Kalamunda (letter attached) asking the CEO to favourably consider this request. I hope the City values this input from our youth and rewards their feedback.

24.01.2022 Law & Order is a major concern in our Electorate. I will fight for more Police and find a way to make the judiciary accountable for sentences that do not reflect Community expectations. Thank you to everyone who helped deliver this message today, including the kids out with their parents.

23.01.2022 I was out today speaking to residents and helping longtime Forrestfield local, Wendy, deliver my Intro Brochure and letter of recommendation from Ken Wyatt.

WED 30 September - Taste of Italy Sundowner (Forrestfield) https://store.wa.liberal.org.au/taste-of-italy-sundowner WED 28 October - Meet the Candidate Sundowner (High Wycombe) https://store.wa.liberal.org.au/meet-the-candidate-george-t I hope to see you there!

22.01.2022 The message from our Community has been received loud and clear that you are fed up with crime, hoons and anti-social behaviour. Police resources are stretched to the limit and they are not getting the help they need from this Labor State Government. Law & Order is a high priority for me and if elected, I will fight to make our Community safer and improve the health, safety and wellbeing of Police Officers.... I'll be out in the Electorate THIS Sunday delivering my message to households and would love your help. If you can spare an hour or two in the afternoon, please PM me for meeting details.

20.01.2022 I made the most of our beautiful Spring day to get out and support one of our local footy teams, the mighty Rhinos. Thanks for the invitation Forrestfield Football Club.

19.01.2022 City of Kalamunda THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! A local family business requested one of my signs to temporarily put on their private land, so they could show their support. Our Local Government sent them this letter stating they needed Development Approval. Even worse, they could be fined up to $1Million if they don't remove it! Seriously?... So, I guess anyone that puts up a sign on their own private property for a garage sale or even a Community Group advertising an event will be subjected to the same heavy-handed threats. Absolutely ridiculous! #privateproperty #pissedoffratepayers #freedomofspeech

19.01.2022 I've been working with local residents in Kenwick trying to assist them with their long running battle to have deep sewerage installed. Disappointingly, the State Government and Member for Forrestfield continue to give lip service. What's needed is real action and funding to be allocated to fix the problem. The City of Gosnells is on board, so all we need is the State Government to do the right thing!... After our recent meeting, Shadow Minister for Water David Honey - Member for Cottesloe has written this letter to the Minister for Water. We now await the response...

18.01.2022 Great news for WA students and families! The Liberals support the $492 million investment for new schools and improvements to schools across WA, including science, design and technology, education support, performing arts and sports facilities. We will also make sure construction jobs are delivered by local tradies to help tackle Western Australias record level of unemployment.... This is great news for local parents, teachers, students and tradies. The Liberal Party is committed to local communities and local jobs. 18.01.2022 Love getting my hands dirty for a good cause. I spent this morning with Ken Wyatt and a group of community volunteers planting trees at Woodlupine Creek. If you would like to help out with these sorts of projects, please give Heidi a call on 9453 9813, as the Friends could do with some more helping hands.

17.01.2022 Crashes, near misses and excessive delays at the main entrance of Forrestfield Forum will now hopefully be a thing of the past. This project has been on the books for many years and is now being delivered thanks to $650,000 from the Morrison Liberal Government. Yet another example of supporting local jobs and improving our Community assets. Thank you to Ken Wyatt for his hard work to make this happen and to the City of Kalamunda for listening to affected residents and addressing their concerns.

17.01.2022 Interesting that the Member for Forrestfield was approached for comment and featured in this article, when it has nothing to do with him! I guess advertising on bins is OK for some though, but not for others? #doublestandards The City of Kalamunda should be the one answering questions here!

17.01.2022 Fred owns Forrestfield Marketplace Newspower, has been in our Community for 17 years and gives his view about George Tilbury.

17.01.2022 If you need a reason to join Team Tilbury, just want to get some exercise or are looking to meet new people, please come and join me for our Action Day. If another time suits you better, please let us know and you can help out at your own convenience.

17.01.2022 One of the reasons Im running for the Liberal Party is because they have the strongest Law & Order policies. It is also the Party that is the most supportive of Police Officers, who do a bloody tough job looking after our Community. Its even harder when they are under resourced. Seeing our Seniors being violently bashed and killed is a disgrace! Labors response is to increase maximum penalties, when the judiciary never hand out those sentences. What a joke!... Its time to stand up, say enough is enough and demand real action to make our Community safer! Look out for my latest flyer in your letterbox and make up your own mind about who you think is best placed to fight for our Community and tackle crime in our Electorate.

16.01.2022 I spent time with volunteers from the Forrestfield / Woodlupine Brook Living Streams Project who are working hard to restore our local waterways. There are some real concerns with erosion near the Woodlupine Brook, which poses a serious risk for some local residents, businesses and car parks. Most of us drive past these locations every day oblivious to the potential danger, but when you go down and inspect these areas first-hand, it's a real eye-opener.... Thankfully the City of Kalamunda and the Water Corporation are working together with these wonderful groups to look after our environment and address this issue. #george4forrestfield

15.01.2022 The Forrestfield Crime Forum was very informative and interactive, with the invaluable feedback provided by the Community helping to shape our Law & Order policies for the State Election. Thank you to Shadow Minister for Police Peter Katsambanis MLA and former WA Police Force Deputy Commissioner Stephen Brown APM for participating on the Panel. Special thanks to members of our Community for attending and also to Hartfield Golf Club for hosting the event.

14.01.2022 A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society. Happy Father's Day to all of our Dads!

14.01.2022 TOO GOOD NOT TO SHARE! While out and about meeting more locals in Wattle Grove, I discovered this hidden gem that most of us drive past all the time! Rothwood Accommodation and Venue Garden is beautiful and would be perfect for a garden wedding or homestay getaway. Kevin has done an amazing job establishing these gardens. ... I've been part of our local Community for decades and even I'm still finding new wonders. Please support local businesses where you can! #george4forrestfield

14.01.2022 One of the best things I love about public life is you get to meet genuine people and there's no better feeling than being able to help them during their times of need. I only recently met Natalie, the owner of Mix Garden Centre in Maida Vale, when visiting local businesses. This is her story.

12.01.2022 Took time out from the Campaign this morning to meet the newest residents of High Wycombe. Very proud to welcome and introduce my nieces Harper and Willow to the world. Mum Shannon and twins are doing well, with a promise to bring them into Food Fella's soon for a visit.... #familyfirst

12.01.2022 I promised to go and watch the Forrestfield Football Club girls at one of their games this season and finally made it to the last one! Its freezing cold and was a fair drive to Muchea, but a promise is a promise. Junior footy is alive and well, with the boys winning their game earlier tonight by 1 point.... Go Rhinos!

12.01.2022 A couple of sneaky photos from behind the scenes of my first major video, which is coming soon. Stay tuned...

12.01.2022 Who said politics has to be boring? One of the locals saw me getting around the Electorate and was concerned I'd wear out my shoes, so they put this little gem together. Time for some fun! Enter your funny caption in the comments below by 5.00pm on Friday 21 August and the one judged the best will win a prize!... #lovemypimpedupride #makemelaugh

10.01.2022 I was joined in our community today by Senator Matt O'Sullivan as we met some of our hard working local business people in Forrestfield, Kenwick and Maida Vale. From pumps to plants and healthy to hearty food, we learnt a lot and had a very enjoyable day. Please support local. #shoplocal

09.01.2022 CRIME & ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR IS A REAL CONCERN The people of Midland didn't hold back tonight, speaking out about the impact crime and anti-social behaviour is having on their lives. They were not happy and hearing their stories first hand, I can understand why! Neighbourhoods being terrorised, homes having to be fortified, violence in schools and hospitals, drug houses, vicious assaults, feeling unsafe in their own homes, shoplifting, hoons, the Judiciary being too soft on... offenders and the pressure Police are under, were just some of the topics frustrated locals vented about tonight! These are just a few of the issues discussed at the Midland Law & Order Forum I attended with Peter Katsambanis - Liberal Member for Hillarys and Jo Cicchini - Liberal for Midland. It's clear we're not alone in the Forrestfield Electorate when it comes to problems with crime and anti-social behaviour. The State Government has failed our Community when it comes to Law & Order and if they'd listened to me in 2017 when I told them we needed an extra 1,000 Police Officers back then, things wouldn't be so bad. There were some great suggestions put forward that we'll take on board to consider for the State Election. Thanks to everyone who participated. #george4forrestfield

09.01.2022 NATIONAL CHILD PROTECTION WEEK 6-12 SEPTEMBER 2020 Under this years theme of Putting children first we invite all Australians to look at how they can prioritise children in their lives and communities and to engage in National Child Protection Week as individuals, and as part of families, organisations, communities and society.... Putting children first means prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children. To grow up well, children need to feel safe and loved, have a chance to play and explore, have a say in decisions that affect them, and access to essential things like food, shelter and healthcare. For children to thrive we need to come together as a community and put childrens needs first during National Child Protection Week and every week. For more information visit: https://www.napcan.org.au/

09.01.2022 FORRESTFIELD CRIME FORUM Every resident has a right to feel safe in our Community. But in recent weeks, many locals in our Electorate have raised their concerns with me about crime, hooning and anti-social behaviour.... Thats why I'm hosting a Crime Forum with Shadow Minister for Police Peter Katsambanis MLA and former WA Police Force Deputy Commissioner Stephen Brown APM. If you live or work in Forrestfield, High Wycombe, Kenwick, Maida Vale, Orange Grove or Wattle Grove, I want to hear from you first-hand about your experiences with local crime and your ideas about how we can make our Community safer. Social distancing rules will apply, so places will be limited and you MUST REGISTER to attend by emailing: [email protected]

08.01.2022 Westralian Diesel is a wonderful local success story and it was a pleasure to be at the official opening tonight of their brand new premises in Forrestfield, with Ken Wyatt. Richard and Maggie are originally a country couple that started their business from humble beginnings and have worked hard to follow their dream. They now employ more than 20 staff and lead the industry in their field. Congratulations!

07.01.2022 Today I brought Shadow Minister for Water David Honey and Donna Faragher MLC out to meet residents in Kenwick about the need to address deep sewerage for 120 residents. This matter has been unresolved for around 15 years and will cost about $7M to fix. Overflowing sewage, health risks and environmental impact on nearby wetlands are just some of the reasons this needs to be sorted out.... In this day and age, these people deserve better!

06.01.2022 NEW TEAM, LOCAL CONNECTIONS I'm really pleased with our new Liberals WA Team! Zak has long standing connections with our local Community and like myself, went to school in Forrestfield.... As a Shadow Minister, Libby has made regular appearances in our Electorate, helping me fight for the Community on a number of very important issues. I know these two are good people, am proud to work with them and wish them both well in their new leadership roles. What pleases me the most is they get it, will take time to listen to people and then do what's required to make things right. The Liberal Team fighting for the people in the Forrestfield Electorate just got a hell of a lot stronger. #bringiton #george4forrestfield

05.01.2022 I had a wonderful afternoon with the Serbian Community, experiencing their cuisine, culture and fantastic hospitality. Thank you to Petar Mrdja for the invitation and for being such a great host. Also, to the hard working volunteers who made the day such a success.

05.01.2022 Today is Australian National Flag Day. This year marks the 119th anniversary of the first time our national flag was flown. Our national flag is a symbol of great importance, with many making sacrifices that have given us the freedoms we all enjoy.... Take a moment to reflect and appreciate the great country we all get to call home.

04.01.2022 Very sad occasion, but a beautiful testimonial to Rod Banjac by the Forrestfield United Football Club today. Thank you for inviting me to be part of the tribute to one of your Club stalwarts, who was taken too soon. Condolences to Rod's family, friends and colleagues. RIP.

04.01.2022 Are you concerned about crime, hoons or anti-social behaviour? If you live or work in Forrestfield, High Wycombe, Kenwick, Maida Vale, Orange Grove or Wattle Grove - then this event is for you. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by email to: [email protected]

03.01.2022 Today I welcomed Liza Harvey MLA and Donna Faragher MLC into the Forrestfield Electorate. I took them both to meet members of our Community, business people and sports club representatives, so they could hear first hand what the issues are in our area. This engagement on the ground keeps it real and will help shape our policies for the State Election.

03.01.2022 I had a cuppa with some of our leading ladies in the Community today to talk about local issues and also shared my vision for the Forrestfield Electorate.

02.01.2022 I was joined in our community today by Senator Matt OSullivan as we met some of our hard working local business people in Forrestfield, Kenwick and Maida Vale. From pumps to plants and healthy to hearty food, we learnt a lot and had a very enjoyable day. Please support local. #shoplocal

02.01.2022 ### REMINDER ### The Forrestfield Crime Forum is TONIGHT!

01.01.2022 TIME FOR ALL COUNCILLORS TO BACK OUR COMMUNITY The strong public support from City of Kalamunda Deputy Mayor Dylan O'Connor, Councillor Lesley Boyd and Councillor Mary Cannon is unwavering when it comes to our fight to retain full access at the intersection of Hale Road and Tonkin Highway. As for the remaining Councillors, the silence is deafening. To date, the City of Kalamunda has failed to adopt a position as it was conveniently dismissed as a "Main Roads issue".... A major issue that will adversely impact local residents and ratepayers, by diverting significant traffic onto suburban streets (responsibility of CoK) creating a road safety issue, DEMANDS a firm position be adopted by Council. Tonight is their chance! A Motion has finally been tabled about this very important issue and will be determined by Councillors. Let's see which Councillors are listening to the people, as they will all be required to go on record tonight. I'll keep you updated about where they each stand. #nomoresittingonthefence #george4forrestfield
