23.01.2022 A message from our CEO Dear GGC Community Members I am writing to inform you that due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, George Gray Centre Inc. have made a decision to cease operations of our Foster Place Caf and Day Service activities from 4:06pm, Friday the 3rd of April 2020 until further notice.... This is not a decision that we have taken lightly, but due to the current restrictions and measures put in place to try and reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus so as to protect the health and safety of the general population, combined with a dramatic reduction in income due to non-attendance, we are left with no choice. For those families/carers that require support to manage during this time, we suggest that you contact your Support Coordinators and Plan Managers to see if you are able to access other organisations that provide in home support. Failing that, we advise that you contact the NDIS/LAC directly to see what other options are available to you during this period. On behalf of all GGC staff and the Committee of Management, I would like to thank you for your understanding regarding this decision and hope that everyone remains well over the coming months. Yours sincerely Antony Giannini Chief Executive Officer George Gray Centre Inc.

01.01.2022 George Gray participants from "The Voice" program were very excited to accept a $2000 grant from Kalbar Operations. The participants were successful in applying for a community grant specifically for purchase of an Obie interactive projector system. Connor, Nat , Sarah and John were invited to Kalbar in Bairnsdale for a special morning tea with other successful applicants. The team at Kalbar were amazing and we would like to thank them all for their interest and support. Pa...rticpants were able to discuss with the Kalbar team not only the Obie project, but also our plans for future projects including our fundraising efforts for a Sensory activity garden. We were lucky enough to learn about the Fingerboards project and the process of separating the minerals from sand and what these minerals are used for. The voice program is doing some great work at the Centre researching ideas, running participant meetings and helping to plan fundraising efforts and future events. Thankyou Kalbar for your generous support and we look forward to you all visiting our Centre to see the Obie projector in action See more
