10.01.2022 Born in England in 1940, George Largent arrived in Australia in 1948. He studied in Sydney and in London and New York while working as a commercial artist. He is a painter, portraitist and graphic artist. He held his first solo show in Sydney in 1982. After running his own commercial art studio for 16 years, Largent began painting full time in 1984. He has held more than 40 one-man and joint exhibitions throughout Australia and been represented in the USA. George is a Fellow of The Royal Art Society of NSW and a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute and his art was represented in their recent international exhibition in Taiwan.
