17.01.2022 This weeks Testimony Tuesday is from Diane "A few of us from our Small Group headed to Mortdale Woolworths to do the 'See Think Feel' exercise. As I sat and watched harried and tired people walk by, I found myself 'seeing' and praying for babies not yet born, for the elderly, men and women, awkward teens, parents and kids. I had a real sense of the fragility and vulnerability of every single person I looked at - even those who looked like they 'had it all together'. A...bout half way through the exercise, as I was seeing and thinking about a young girl with her mum, I had an overwhelming feeling of God's love for the people I was 'seeing' as I sat there that morning - the feeling of love brought me to tears (so I would've looked a little odd to anyone watching me). While the sense of God's love was pretty powerful in that moment, I also knew God was saying that I was sensing only a drop in the ocean of His love for these people - that I wouldn't be able to handle the full intensity of His love for them. It brings me to tears just writing this, actually. That our God loves us with such intensity wherever and whoever we are is incredible..." 17.01.2022 TESTIMONY TUESDAY On Practice Sunday we had an amazing morning at the life centre. It was full of kingdom moments, God orchestrated conversations and glimpses of heaven. It began and ended with prayer, an opportunity for all generations to get together and pray and worship. The kids always inspire me how they boldly approach Jesus. This was followed by our mission month zoom with Audrey and Gus and Muana and Villy- such a gift to encourage one another in what God is doing. ... And lastly, We also had our first life care community connections. Coffee and (fun!) kids activities made a way for genuine connection and a whole lot of joy for us, and those welcomed in. While all that was happening at the life centre, it excited me to know that out and about people from our church at both sites were connecting, eating, inviting, praying and revealing Jesus in their own intentional ways. I can’t wait for God to keep giving us opportunities to help him build His kingdom. Bring it on! - Sophie

15.01.2022 1st May is the official launch day of MAY MISSION MONTH May Mission Month is our opportunity to gain awareness, learn and support our Mission partners beyond the Georges River. This year we aim to raise $100,000. During May there will be opportunities to attend presentations with our mission partners and hear all about the work they are doing. Gail has been an Artslife volunteer since 2014 and has the very important job of connecting with parents when their kids attend their lessons.
