23.01.2022 Thank you for all the students that trialed for the GRPSSA Netball team. There were 35 students, though we could only select 10. 22.01.2022 2020 PSSA UPDATE! Schools, Families and Community. After a period of consultation and discussion concerning PSSA in 2020 and adhering to the health guidelines for sport in schools, the Georges River District has come to the decision to cease inter-school competitive sport for the remainder of 2020. This was not a decision that was come to lightly, but due to many factors, the health and wellbeing of students, staff and families is paramount.

20.01.2022 An update from Sydney East Sport. Not the news we wanted to hear. Urgent update A 'phased social distancing strategy' was implemented from Monday 16 March 2020 following advice from the NSW Department of Education.... The Department now advises that due to the COVID-19 outbreak and ‘social distancing strategy’, all programs for term 3 are now cancelled. The health and wellbeing of everyone involved is paramount and at the heart of this decision. We recognise the pressures that schools are currently experiencing and supporting staff and students is our highest priority. The Sydney East SSA advises that the following trials/championships will not proceed Primary Athletics NSWPSSA Cross Country NSWPSSA Netball NSWPSSA Boys Touch NSWPSSA Rugby Union NSWPSSA Girls Rugby 7’s NSWPSSA Golf NSWPSSA Boys Softball NSWPSSA Girls Touch NSWPSSA Girls Softball All term 3 2020 Zone/District, Sydney East, NSWPSSA and NSWCHSSA activities will now be cancelled and will not be rescheduled during 2020. The following term 3 trials will not proceed at this point, but the situation will be regularly reviewed and updates provided related to activities in term 4. Primary Girls Cricket trials Primary Boys Cricket trials The following sports event has been cancelled for term 4, 2020. NSWPSSA Athletics All NSWPSSA knockouts/statewide competitions have also been cancelled for 2020. We thank you for your understanding during this time. 15.01.2022 FANTASTIC EFFORT!!! The Botany Bay & Georges River Girls’ Football team today claimed a second consecutive trophy as they were crowned champions of the Sydney East Carnival! The girls won all five of their matches and only conceded two goals in what was as close to a faultless performance as anyone could wish for. Here, Georgia (Oatley PSA) and Zoe (Connells Point PS) show off the trophy. Thank you Mr Pratt (Hurstville PS) for your effort to convene the Combined Georges River District & Botany Bay Team.
