Get your whole household on board and to support you and make healthier switches for the treats for your kids and partner. You can always get your partner to hide food from you too until your willpower gets stronger
19.01.2022 I will never understand when people say healthy eating is boring if it’s boring, then you’re doing it wrong and it’s most likely unhealthy for your mind and your relationship with food. No matter what, you should enjoy your food, that is important. But your food should also provide you with fuel, energy, satiety, happy hormones, a happy gut, good skin and overall good health. Healthy food is delicious it is fun, it’s enjoyable and it should be sustainable. Low carb and low sugar French toast one of my favourite meals! It can be modified for those who need more carbs or less, for dietary requirements and intolerances, and can be enjoyed by EVERYONE!

18.01.2022 Oh I love sharing this one with my ladies. They wonder why they are SO ravenous leading up to and during their period, and here’s why .... Your BMR (basal metabolic rate) increased in the few days before and the few days at the start of your period. I encourage my clients to choose something extra that will satisfy them and this also helps to prevent binges during this time which is so common. Depriving your body will lead to more cravings as well. If you crave a chocolate, ...it is probably better to eat it rather than consume 2000+ calories of other ‘healthier’ foods trying to satisfy the craving and not succeeding. My go to’s for an after dinner snack include: Paddlepop / skinny cow / mini magnum / Fropro / halo top ice cream Lindt dark chocolate / loving earth / well naturally Fibre one brownie bar Sugar free hot chocolate / chai tea Cobs popcorn drizzled in dark choc Strawberries dipped in fat chocolate Chobani FIT X Scotch finger or Tim tam biscuit Remember we require iron and magnesium most during this phase of our menstrual cycle.

11.01.2022 Do you grab a muffin on the go thinking it’s an OK option for breakfast? Even getting a fruit one thinking that’s healthier? What you may not realise it’s what’s in it, how calorie dense and how little actual nutrients it contains. Not to mention all of the food you could have instead of that muffin which would provide you with more nutrients and satiety (keep you full) rather than a sugar spike and crash not long after eating the muffin. People often mistake healthy eati...ng for eating less but 9 times out of 10 you actually get to eat so much more when you reach for healthier options! Yes, a muffin might taste good, but give me oats PLUS a protein smoothie anyway! Sometimes it’s great to enjoy a muffin, but if you’re wondering why you’re having energy lows, skin breakouts, foggy brain, weight gain or stubborn fat, poor immune system etc, your diet is the first place to look to see if you can improve it.
