21.01.2022 MEET GEORGIA ... HI & welcome to my teaching studio! I'm a born + bred Adelaide double bassist who is passionate about teaching the classical genre to the next generation of students! ... I began double bass at age six and have participated and performed with a variety of ensembles, including the Adelaide Youth Orchestras and Elder Conservatorium Ensembles. I graduated with a Bachelor or Music in classical performance from the University of Adelaide in 2016 and have been teaching cello and double bass in schools and privately ever since. 17.01.2022 PERFORMANCE I'm excited and grateful to be involved with the Adelaide Summer Orchestra this year, and our concert is this Sunday! January 17th. Assembling annually, the Summer Orchestra rehearses for two weeks prior to a concert at the Norwood Concert Hall, with this year's proceeds going towards Specific Learning Difficulties SA (SPELD).... We'll be performing Frank Bridge's Oration Concerto with cellist and soloist Simon Cobcroft and Dimitri Shostakovich's October, both conducted by Nicholas Braithwaite. http://www.adelaidesummerorchestra.org.au/
