16.01.2022 I grew up on a sheep farm not far from Young, NSW (the Cherry Capital of Australia!). I lived there until only a couple of years ago when I made the move to the South Coast to now live in Shell Cove, NSW. It was certainly a big change in scenery, but I am excited to be able to service both the country and the coast (and everywhere in between) as an authorised marriage celebrant. 11.01.2022 I think it’s important to make sure you choose the right celebrant. Take your time, ask questions and make sure they’re someone you feel comfortable with! I also think it’s super important when choosing your bridal party, that you make sure they’re willing to hold/catch your veil if it gets a little windy. 03.01.2022 I imagine there are very few people that would be able to say they had the honour of officiating the marriage ceremony of a friend, a sibling, a cousin, an auntie or an uncle. I am one of the lucky ones. When I first sat down with my sister and her fiancé to go over the script, they hadn’t seen or heard any aspects of it. I went in thinking my sister, being the perfectionist she is, is going to want to change the whole thing! But she didn’t. That’s when I felt the full weigh...t of knowing and understanding two people to the point that you can compose a script that details their journey, their relationships, their failures and their triumphs.. And what an incredible feeling it was. This isn’t to say that you have to have known someone their whole lives to be able to know them and tell their story. I had a wedding recently, and after the ceremony, I was told it was beautiful how personal it was, and how it truly was THEIR story, not just a generic script with the names changed.
