19.01.2022 AURORA RESTAURANT 2021 GSID’s latest hospitality project Aurora ADL Set on the ground floor of an 150 year old former Tobacco factory on Light Square, has been transformed into a moody space full of experiences and drama starting with this epic kitchen. Drawing on the notion of drama and experience, we focused on lighting whilst creating a performance space for the chefs to play artist amongst their patrons.... The Australian earthy landscape and the light movements of the Aurora Australis were a strong focus of the interior, whilst incorporating the old and new together harmoniously. Splashes of slick burgundy, rich marbles and stone meet retained industrial elements of this existing space. Giving it a true sense of past and present. Supported by the pillars of sustainability, local produce and social responsibility, Aurora aims to create memorable dining experiences that nourish and engage. A La carte and tasting menus offer inclusive authentic experiences that celebrate culinary excellence. More photos to come soon. @fenj_

12.01.2022 Stanley House | Designed in 2018 - built in 2021. GSiD has been working closely with our clients over the last three years to create a timeless design that compliments the existing heritage and the new architecture, with a focus on light and good design being the centre of the narrative between client and designer. The muted pallet was influenced by the earthy tones of the exterior landscape and highlighted through textured timbers and tan leathers. Dressed in natural light ...and warmed with tactile materials, this living space creates a calm atmosphere while celebrating the connection between old and new.
