25.01.2022 WEDNESDAY MUSING ~ SALVAGE If you were to look up the meaning of the word "salvage" there are many definitions. It refers to being "rescued". Such as rescuing a cargo or ship that is lost at sea. It can also mean to recover, retrieve, raise, or, I like this one, reclaim! They are lost...Continue reading

19.01.2022 ( ) ’ . . The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,... to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Luke 4:18-19 (NIV) When Jesus publicly announced His mission, he read from the prophesy in Isaiah 61:1-2. This mission is the same one that Jesus entrusted to the church. Those words are a call that is being fulfilled today: freedom for those living in oppressive circumstances, freedom for those who are enslaved by traffickers. There is good news: the Lord cares for individuals who are hurting and vulnerable and offers healing and restoration. This is good news that we as the church can share. By observing The Annual Day of Prayer and working together to end human trafficking, we can become part of fulfilling Jesus’ mission today. Together, with our brothers and sisters across the world, our desire is for this Annual Day of Prayer to be a resource and an event that will include a growing number of churches around the world. Through our worship, we call out to God to end the evil of human trafficking, and we seek to become part of that work.
