24.01.2022 A fun little piece for, as the author so eloquently puts it, the "casual toilet bowl observers".

20.01.2022 How one deals with ambiguity is capable of doing more than just leaving a person vulnerable to conspiracy theories. When faced with an ambiguous situation, those with low tolerance for ambiguity will jump to conclusions, even negative ones, just to feel a sense of closure. Learning to tolerate ambiguity is a vital skill for people suffering from anxiety. Using hypnotherapy, we are able to access and build that very skill.

19.01.2022 And another one... So many great places to eat in Melbourne. This is the Super Grain Bowl from Sun Moth in the CBD. Delicious, hearty AND healthy. A fellow naturopath put me onto this place. Where are your fave healthy Melbourne haunts?

19.01.2022 "What you eat today is how you'll feel tomorrow". Wise words at tonight's presentation from the Melbourne Neuroscience Institute.

18.01.2022 It can be hard to stay well when you're travelling. Currently fighting off the dreaded lurgy with a nice cup of Bone Tea, a delicious organic chicken bone broth, at a cafe in London's Fleet Street (another day, another Monopoly place name).

17.01.2022 Looking for a dairy alternative? Will cockroach lattes be the next big thing? Er... I'm thinking not.

15.01.2022 It's that time of year again... What better way to celebrate Mental Health Week than by picking up a #littlejarofhappiness from the lovely folks at Mary Mary Studio! 50% of the profits from every jar sold goes directly to Beyond Blue, to support the great job they do in raising awareness of depression and anxiety. I'll certainly be picking up a few!

15.01.2022 Sorry people, there's no such thing as left-brained or right-brained so you can save your grey matter for more pressing matters such as the ever-popular "Am I a Psychopath?" quiz and the Harry Potter Sorting Hat.:p

14.01.2022 Just half an hour a WEEK to reduce your risk of depression and high blood pressure? Well that's totally doable... :)

10.01.2022 Did you know that you need to consume some fats with turmeric to get the most benefits? A strong contender for best golden latte

08.01.2022 Happy New Year, everyone! What are your resolutions? Perhaps you're considering cutting down on coffee, aka the Devil Bean. Swapping coffee for a good quality green tea can be helpful especially for those with anxiety. Sure, green tea still has a little caffeine to pick you up, but it also contains l-theanine, a compound that can help you to feel both relaxed and alert. :)

06.01.2022 When I tell you, "Don't think about pink elephants?", I bet I can guess the first thing that springs to mind. Sometimes dieting can feel the same way. "Don't think about that burger/chocolate/etc." However some research shows that over a longer period of time, restricting foods can lead to less cravings. Who woulda thunk it? What has been your experience of cutting out foods?

04.01.2022 It's Saturday morning and that means the traditional Japanese breakfast is on at Cibi in Collingwood. This is just about my favourite way to start the day. And yes, that is a sneaky bowl of miso on the right.

02.01.2022 There's more to being healthy than just diet and exercise, and our home environments play an important part. Outgassing of volatile organic compounds from furniture, paint etc. can contribute to conditions such as asthma and allergies. But did you know that some common household plants can actually absorb some of these nasties?
