25.01.2022 Today marks the 6th year since the establishment of the Gepps Cross Futsal Club in 2014. We are proud of this club and the achievements we have made at all levels - capped off with the women’s team winning the Series Futsal Australia Cup in April 2017. The club remains committed to further success in the future. Our future is bright as it has been from day one. ... We would also like to pay tribute to every player that has worn the orange and black of our club. Whether Under 13, Under 14, Under 21, Draft League, Senior Women’s or Senior Men’s or former players now at other clubs and our friends from interstate who have represented us at Series Futsal Australia - you have all contributed to the success of this club at some stage in the last five years. 2014 Runners-up Men’s SAFL Division 3 in debut season 2014 Runners-up Men’s SAFL Cup (defeated by Adelaide Fusion 3-2) 2014/15 CHAMPIONS Men’s SAFL Division 2 2014/15 CHAMPIONS Men’s SAFL Division 2 Shield 2015 Runners-up Men’s SAFL Premier League 2015/16 CHAMPIONS Men’s SAFL Cup (defeated Newton Kings 7-2) 2016/17 CHAMPIONS U13 Division in debut season 2016/17 Runner-up Men’s SAFL Cup (defeated by West Lakes 7-5) 2016/17 CHAMPIONS Women’s SAFL Premier League in debut season 2016/17 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS Women’s Series Futsal Australia Cup (Melbourne) 2017 NATIONAL RUNNERS-UP Women’s Series Futsal Australia Cup (Adelaide) Six appearances by Gepps Cross Men’s team at FAFL/SFA Cups (Melbourne 2015, Melbourne 2015/16, Melbourne 2016, Perth 2016/17, Melbourne 2017, Melbourne 2018) Two appearances by Gepps Cross Women’s team at FAFL/SFA Cups (Melbourne 2017 and Adelaide 2017/18) ...and finally friendships made locally, interstate and overseas to last a lifetime. 19.01.2022 As a Team Manager and as a club, everyone who has ever been involved with the Gepps Cross Futsal Club would be feeling somewhat shocked with the recent winding ...down of the Futsal Oz operations in Brunswick, Mount Evelyn and Thomastown. I was first able to experience a taste of Futsal Oz in 2012 when I watched my first game between Ashburton and Pascoe Vale women's senior teams. In 2014, I was asked to assist Raff Frisina and Jamie Carbone with Adelaide FC (women's) and Adelaide Fusion Futsal Club (men's) with their quests for success at Brunswick. Futsal Oz gave the Gepps Cross Futsal Club the opportunity to put itself on the national futsal map from 2015 when our senior Men's team first competed at Mount Evelyn. Two years later, we were blessed with success at SFA Cup when the Gepps Cross Senior Women came back to South Australia as national champions. But despite the wins. draws and losses, Futsal Oz was responsible for creating a national futsal family - even spreading as far as overseas. At Gepps Cross, not only did we create teams - we created friendships, brotherhoods/sisterhoods and connections that are still as strong today as they have ever been. As a club, we were blessed to have the best players from around Australia don the colours of Orange and Black to help us progress to the club that we are today. Peter and Effie Parthimos...we couldn't have done this without all of your hard work, sweat and tears. You are responsible the current futsal family that exists in Australia. Also, a huge thank you to all of the past and present staff at Futsal Oz who made playing there an absolute pleasure and experiences we will never forget. On behalf of the Gepps Cross Futsal Club, I would like to personally thank you for all that you have contributed and we all hope and pray that road ahead is a smooth one for you and your family. This is not the end...

13.01.2022 Round 1 of the State Futsal League South Australia saw a new look Gepps Cross take on 6-time champions, Adelaide Fusion at The Parks last Sunday. The Draft League team almost snatched a win at the death, but settled for a 4-4 draw which was still an awesome result for a squad that hasn’t trained together as yet. Goalkeeper, Vahid Rastapoor was the hero for the Knights saving a penalty towards the end of the game and being solid for the entire 40 minutes. Declan Burchell retu...rned to the Knights and was also impressive scoring a brace. The Premier League squad went down 5-3 to a very experienced Adelaide Fusion who welcomed back Anthony Capaldi between the posts. After conceding a couple of soft goals, Masoud Teymouri smashed a low drive from an impossible angle before Fusion came back with a penalty. Debutant Mark Shariat pegged back another goal for the Knights with a solid strike that Capaldi failed to hold on to. The second half belonged to the Fusion who again bagged a couple of goals that could have been better defended. Teymouri completed his brace before the final whistle blew at a 5-3 defeat. Impressive debuts from Shariat, Beau Ieraci, Nikolaus Roelofs and goalkeeper Alireza Akoochian plus solid games from Burchell and Caleb Evans gives the Knights a good foundation for the rest of this 14 round season and a full 21 round season later this year. We will be welcoming 3 new players to the Draft League and Premier League squads for this Sunday’s matches. #ReadyForBattle

03.01.2022 An outstanding W-League debut by former Gepps Cross Futsal Club Star, Mariel Hecher, as she kitted up for the Brisbane Roar FC Women against Melbourne City Women's Football Club. I’ve got no doubt she will take the league by storm this season. Well done Mariel
