24.01.2022 Engineering and Lineboring work was completed on this Hitachi EX3600 Boom over the weekend. Next stop is the paint shop for a full abrasive blast and paint. We'll have some pics of the finished job up soon!

24.01.2022 This Hitachi EX5600 boom left our workshop yesterday after coming in for emergency repairs. Our team worked around the clock on major structural damage repairs, internal and external cracking, replacement of a foot casting, complete linebore, fitting new OEM bushes and stress relieving to have this boom returned to site before heavy haulage curfews came into effect. This boom is now back onsite and ready to go back into service.

23.01.2022 This Liebherr 996 Boom and stick assembly came in to our workshop as part of a 7 day shutdown on the excavator. Both components underwent internal and external structure repairs, lineboring, fitting new OEM bushes as well as an upgrade to the grease system. Our team worked around the clock to have both components completed ahead of schedule and back on site in 4 days.

22.01.2022 The first of a fleet of brand new CAT 793 X trays loaded and heading out onsite. We'll have more photos of these trays from our workshop team up soon!

22.01.2022 This Komatsu WA900 Bucket is being transported back to our workshop for a full refurbishment. More photos up soon.

21.01.2022 This Terex RH340 Bucket has just come into our workshop for refurbishment. The scope of works includes GET replacement, lip gauging and repairs, new wear package, general structure repairs, full linebore and fitting OEM bushes. We'll have some more pics of this one up soon.

19.01.2022 CAT 631E Scraper ready for delivery after undergoing a full abrasive blast and paint. New decals were also supplied and fitted in house.

17.01.2022 This Komatsu HD785 Service Unit recently left our workshop after a full overhaul. The service body received a full hydraulic and electrical refurbishment as well as general structural repairs and painting. The prime mover also received some general repairs and painting after undergoing an overhaul by the OEM. This unit has now returned to site and is back in service.

17.01.2022 What a year it's been! 2020 has definitely been challenging for everyone but it's also proven to be one of our biggest years yet at Gerada Engineering. Some stand out projects include these dragline bucket refurbishments which also gave us the opportunity to show some support for ANZAC Day, Workplace Depression awareness (Conversation Starter) and various Safety initiatives. We've also added another Field Service Unit to our fleet which has the capacity to comfortably run up ...to four boilermakers in one truck for onsite services and shutdowns. Other projects throughout the year included excavator and shovel buckets, dozer blades, dump truck trays and everything in between. Our field service teams also participated in dragline and excavator onsite shutdowns across various mine sites as well as general field support all year. As always, our workshop and field service teams have gone above and beyond, producing high quality work first class service right up to the end of the year, with two projects being completed in time to beat the Christmas period transport curfews. One bucket completed weeks ahead of schedule and another being received, repaired and delivered back to our client in one week. So a huge thank you goes out to all of our team members! Bring on 2021! 14.01.2022 These Hitachi EX5600 H links recently came into our workshop with a request for an urgent turnaround. Crack repairs were carried out on both links before undergoing a full restock and linebore. New OEM bushes and seals were fitted and new grease injector guards were also fabricated.

14.01.2022 Engineering work has just been completed on this Komatsu WA900 loader bucket including a new lip, GET, wear package, linebore and general repairs. Next stop is our abrasive blasting and painting shop.

13.01.2022 This Hitachi EX3600 Bucket left our workshop yesterday after undergoing a full refurbishment. The scope of works included a replacement of the bucket lip and side walls, new Hensley GET, new wear package, crack repairs, stress releiving, full linebore, new OEM bushes and seals, as well as a full abrasive blast and paint. This bucket is now back on site and ready to go to work.

13.01.2022 Another Hitachi EX3600 boom and stick assembly heading out after full refurbishments including internal and external crack repairs and modifications, hydraulic and grease system overhaul, lineboring, OEM bushes, abrasive blasting and painting. This was also the first boom and stick assembly to be stress relieved in house (More on that soon!).

11.01.2022 These Hitachi EX3600 Boom and Stick assemblies have just undergone a full abrasive blast in our blasting booth. Next stop is the engineering workshop where a full internal and external NDT will be carried out.

10.01.2022 CAT 793D tray leaving our hardstand after coming into our workshop for refurbishment. This tray has now been fitted to its truck and is back in service.

09.01.2022 These coal stockpile discharger, hopper and feeder assemblies recently came into our workshop for some urgent modifications at the request of the OEM. Utilising our transport service, as well as our engineering capabilities, these components were able to be returned to our client ahead of schedule for a planned shutdown. These assemblies have now been installed and are in service.

08.01.2022 Gerada Engineering has teamed up with CQMS Razer to restore this dragline bucket located at the entrance to the Capella Industrial Estate. Be sure to stop for a photo next time you're passing through Capella!

06.01.2022 Even though ANZAC ceremonies have been cancelled for this year, Gerada Engineering is very proud to work together with our client, to find a way to commemorate ANZAC Day 2020. To the many men and women who have served and who are currently serving our nation, we say thank you for your service. This dragline bucket has been positioned in Emerald QLD for this ANZAC weekend, before heading back to work after receiving a full refurbishment in our workshop. Lest We Forget.

06.01.2022 These EX3600 and EX2500 excavators recently underwent full onsite resprays after also receiving panel repairs and assembly. This was achived by our industrial painting team utilising our fully equipped onsite painting container.

06.01.2022 A great story and photos shared by Love in a little black diary and ABC Landline over the weekend for the Light Horse monument in Capella. It was and still is a great privilege to have been able to construct this monument to the Lighthorsemen of Australia and their history in our town.

06.01.2022 Work has started on this service unit that has come to our workshop for a full structural, electrical and hydraulic systems overhaul while the Komatsu HD785 truck receives an OEM mid-life rebuild. We'll have more pics of this job up soon!

06.01.2022 Hitachi EX3600 Boom loaded and heading back to site. This boom is now back onsite and in service.
