21.01.2022 #gobananas Pyramid Challenge A little bit of fun for some of our committee kids! One of the bonuses of having parents on the committee means they are always at the grounds well before and after every comp, lending a hand, setting up equipment, sweeping, cleaning, welcoming new members to the club.... (not to mention the off-season busy-bees !) and they all do it without hesitation, with big smiles on their faces and the best attitudes! 20.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Season Intro Day! There were a lot of new, excited faces, as well as eager returning athletes, ready and raring for the start of our 2020/21 Season.... Our first TRAINING session (non-compulsory) will take place on Wednesday 14 October, 4-5pm. Our first COMPETITION day is scheduled for Saturday 17 October, 2.30pm. If you haven't done so already, please REGISTER at www.resultshq.com.au. Please remember to order UNIFORMS through Total Uniforms (NWCH Hwy) as soon as possible. Uniform is compulsory and consists of the yellow shirt and red shorts on display. We can't wait to see you all back at the GAC very soon!

19.01.2022 Can you help to START OUR RACE??? To bring our club into the 21st century, we are fundraising for a new electronic race timing system for Geraldton Athletics Centre. This system will bring real time results and improve time accuracy to better support our athletes and their development. It will also allow us to host larger events and better our regions school carnival events.... 14.01.2022 With the emergence of COVID-19, Geraldton Athletics Centre committee have reached the difficult decision to CANCEL our Centre Championships & End of Season Windup, scheduled to be held this Friday 20 & Saturday 21 March. Tomorrow’s final training day will be cancelled also. Our duty of care to our members and their families is paramount and we hope this decision provides you with peace of mind. The announcement of our 2019/20 champions and final season wrap up will be highli...ghted on our Facebook page and via our email system later in the week, so watch this space! 10.01.2022 Returning members are reminded to keep their numbered bib and sponsor tags. Only new members are allocated new numbered bibs. Updated age tags however, are provided each season upon registration. In the case of a lost bib, members can be issued with a hand written bib at a small cost. 09.01.2022 The 2021 Country Championships is only two months away This event is a great opportunity for our athletes to compete against other country kids and meet some fantastic people from across WA Held in Bunbury from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th of January, Athletes choose to attend this event, they do not need to qualify.... Simply nominate for the event through your Results HQ portal - Entries open on the 1st of December. If you plan on attending, we recommend planning your ...accommodation as soon as possible. 09.01.2022 Well our season has come to an end. and although it didn’t quite finish with the excitement we were all hoping for, we know there are many of our athletes ready and raring to continue smashing their personal achievements again next year. Thank you to everyone who made this season such a success. 06.01.2022 At 1.30pm today, we have our FREE Athletics Officials Training at the club. We hope to see our parents and volunteers take advantage of this awesome opportunity to gain knowledge in officiating ~ something that will help us to support our athletes week after week As this training will run into competition, we are aware that children may need to attend - They will be kept busy with some training drills by the older athletes We hope to see you there!
