23.01.2022 ADOPTED BOB is a male Maltese type approximately 5 years old. He too, came in disgusting state. He’s gained weight, lost his jewels and several teeth. He’s a quiet, calm, gentle lad who needs the best of home to make up for the care he has previously lacked. BOB isn’t a fan of being groomed but will require it and the new owner will have to see it’s done in home and regularly with a groomer. He needs a home with firm and fair boundaries that aren’t going to cave to his every whimper.

22.01.2022 ROEHI is a female Chihuahua type cross, approximately 18months old. She’s a very loyal companion once she trusts you and is given time and space to be comfortable. It’s likely she wouldn’t do well with young children who don’t respect her space or who force or push for engagement/play. Her personality is sweet and soft with a hint of spice - there is sparkle in the eye that yearns to play and be exuberant and as her environment settles, her confidence grows and a little more spice shines through. 20.01.2022 PARVOVIRUS - deadly condition affecting unvaccinated dogs. Please vaccinate your puppies and dogs. In the last 2 weeks there have been Parvovirus infected dog...s in Geraldton. Don’t wait for your pup to get symptoms. Book an appointment with a Vet to get them vaccinated ASAP. This horrid illness can be prevented! Please help stop this unnecessary condition affecting pets and lives. It is painful, debilitating and lasts an age in the environment. AND IT WILL KILL.

Please make suitable arrangements by securing them in the home, check and secure gates, remove items near fencing that could be used as steps to escape, leave music or TV on reasonably loud as distraction/cover, make sure they have ID tags on their collars and their microchip details are updated. Should you find a dog please call Ranger services on 99566600, please be careful taking dogs to your home. We understand you want to help but please be careful of taking disease/parasites home.

14.01.2022 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST. JUPPY is a male Maltese type approximately 1 year old. He arrived in a disgusting state with physical and emotional scars. At sterilisation he was x-rayed to see if it could shed some light on previous injury - nothing stood out, 3 lumps were also removed and now we are ready to take applications. There is medical to consider as Juppy has decreased reflex to his right hind leg, it could be from previous trauma and it is unknown if it may be degenerati...ve. Juppy requires a calm, consistant home WITHOUT children/grandchildren etc. Please CALL 0400219719 and leave a voicemail to be considered. We thank every one who donated towards Juppy

13.01.2022 ADOPTED CHAMAL is a male mixed breed maybe done GSD/Heeler/Koolie and or something with some shorter legs; approximately 10weeks old. He a super happy little guy who loves the kids and dogs in his foster home. Has a good bark and has been sleeping outside, he can already sit and play fetch. He’s guessed to be medium in size once grown.

10.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who supports GDR, we wish you and your family a happy and safe festive season. Recently we have received some amazing cash donations, collected full money tins and large quantities of donated items from Seacrest Woolworths, Queens IGA and City Farmers. There have been independently run fundraisers by City Farmers and Pet City in support of GDR - all fabulously supported by the community and very much appreciated.

08.01.2022 Fire - if you don’t act you may regret it! They are fast and they take everything in their path. On Monday 28th of December our friends at Greenough Wildlife & Bird Park were under threat of fire. They contacted Angela, who became the Cross Organisation Liaison between Geraldton Dog Rescue and Midwest Marsupial Carers INC. Soon, with others, they evacuated and assisted Michelle & Jo to save their legacy. Our NEW facility, completed mid 2020, thanks to support from LOTTERYWE...ST became a temporary home for two Dingoes, a Bearded Dragon and many birds. Thanks to Community standing and Lotterywest we were able to offer integral support to another local organisation in a time of dire need. #lotterywestgrants #communityspirit #thanks
