11.01.2022 As you may be aware, the WA Premier announced the introduction of contact register requirements for Western Australian venues from 5th December 2020, and the launch of a new QR code application, SafeWA. The City has identified the Association as either an Indoor Sporting Venue or Food and Licensed Venue therefore are required to maintain a contact register of patrons, staff, visitors and contractors for COVID-19 contact tracing. The requirement to register contacts for partic...ular businesses is mandatory however, provided the club or association can collect the necessary details, the club can decide the method best suited to their business operations and patrons. The use of the free SafeWA contact register app is encouraged, more information on this app can be found at https://www.wa.gov.au//covid-c/covid-19-coronavirus-safewa The Association will be using the QR code and the manual register method and will be in place as from the 5th December 2020.
