03.01.2022 It honestly hurts our hearts so much the amount of pets we see suffer and die from a completely preventable virus This week in only 3 days we’ve had 4 pets co...me in and test positive to parvo-virus. Sadly all 4 did not make it. We understand that sometimes positive cases are due to owners not knowing enough about vaccination, or vaccine regimes not being completed. However according to industry surveys, the majority of positive cases are due to people thinking their pets won’t get it because they don’t leave the house. Parvo lives in the soil for up to 3 years and can be carried into your home on the bottom of your shoe though. Rest assured we are doing our bit in increasing awareness for the community. But please please please, if you get a puppy, or a dog with unknown vaccine history, contact your vet to discuss a plan to protect your pet from this deadly virus, and be sure to keep your pets up to date with their vaccinations Current hot spot areas include Mount Tarcoola and Spalding.
