20.01.2022 Containers for Change WA will Not accept eligible containers collected before 1 Oct so at this stage i think GSM is supposed to throw them into landfill or just give $16000 worth of Aluminium to Coca cola Worlds biggest plastic polluter poor loves money must be tight

18.01.2022 At GSM We have finally had a small win to keep freedom of choice alive. I cannot stop profits from the RE-TURN it cd's leaving the state however I'm now in a position to offer $4.50 per kilo for ali cans i will freight them to Perth and sell them into the scheme at a WA owned refund point. Please consider your options carefully as the per kilo value i offer is LESS than the subsidized $0.10 on offer. I would also like to purchase some eligible plastic's so i can work on a per kilo price for them

15.01.2022 its official Containers for Change work with councils and corporate Australia. Big boys club. What this means to us All Recyclable products have become worthless until 1st Oct .I have paid out approx. $16 000 for aluminum cans that i could not sell into regular markets due to a steep drop in value bought on by uncertainty surrounding the scheme. Government & C for change tell me to recycle as before but cut off markets to private business. i cannot sell bailed and palletized cans into the scheme yet the scheme bail and palettize them . it appears all regional recyclers are in the same boat as GSM pressure to throw perfectly good recyclable products into landfill just to save cooperate Australia a few bucks

11.01.2022 Its official we the Midwest community have lost the freedom of choice to recycle with local businesses. (More profits leaving Geraldton) .GSM has lost previously available markets to on sell our bailed Ali cans Just under 10 ton all paid for now without a home to go to , All in the name of recycling. On the bright side the sun is still shinning.

10.01.2022 can anyone speak Government i need help interpreting paragraph 3 & 4. Then paragraph 5 is what they do to you after they delay their scheme and ask you to carry on recycling while they kill of pre existing markets.

10.01.2022 Here at GSM we have been trying as hard as we can to keep FREEDOM OF CHOICE alive in the Midwest, we failed . The community has no choice but to pay $0.12 extra on eligible containers, our community has no choice but to recycle through the RE-TURN IT CD'S a franchise who began in the ACT 3 years ago a franchise who has put in a local manager you may all know. A franchise who's profits leave town. GSM was rejected from the scheme but asked to continue recycling until they got up and running. We did so because the alternative was a waste of resources. Now the might of coca cola and relevant Ministers have told us we can not sell into the scheme

01.01.2022 Our legal system does not deter criminals our justice system is aimed at the honest with something to lose. Now new legislation around purchasing Copper products threatens to shut down many successful Scrap Metal yards. I urge anyone with Copper products saved up for Christmas parties to sell prior to 1 December when you laws come into affect.

01.01.2022 I’m speechless. How will charging me $6000.00 for a permit to purchase copper stop the theft of copper? A short story, some time ago a detective came to my yard and asked: Have you bought any copper in the past 3 months? Yes, I replied, around 30 tons. What sort were you chasing? She cast an eye around the yard and left never to return. Can somebody please explain to me how this action is preventing stealing and supporting #localbusiness?
