24.01.2022 Hello Everyone, We hope that you had a happy and safe off season from Touch Football. The time has come around again this year and we are tapping off our first game on Friday 30th of October at GBSC Sports Park, complete with presentations for teams from last season.... Sign Ups are now live on a new system, so please read below on how it all works. We are having a Sign Up night and Team Captain's meeting for anyone that would like some help registering on Wednesday 21st of October at Brigades. To Register your team: Go to https://profile.mysideline.com.au/ and create an account (can link to Facebook or Google account for ease). Then click on "Register" and search for "Geraldton" on the next screen. Two competitions will come up. One for "Competitive" and one for "Social". Click on the level of competition you want to register for. Fill out the form and confirm registration. That's it! You'll now be emailed a link to email to your players so that they can register for your team. It's the same process for them, except they will select to register as a player. 22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Don't forgot we will have basic referee training on Tuesday 10th November at 6pm, at Brigades Club Rooms. Will run for approx. 1 hour and cover the basic rules, how to interchange and tips on making reffing easier for you. Please send as many people from your teams as can make it as it will also help your game. A more formal, weekend course will be held later in the season for those wanting to learn the finer points of the game (to ref higher level games) and tak...e their reffing further (ie: State Titles). 22.01.2022 Important update...... The Executive Committee have made the decision to cancel the finals series. Unfortunately there was no way to change the finals without causing major dis-advantage to those that finished at the top of the ladder in multiple grades and the virus is posing too much of a risk if we were to continue with the competition. We are all devestated to miss out on playing the sport that we love and for not being able to finish the season in the way we had envisio...ned, however, the health and safety of all our members and the wider community has to come first. Congratulations to the following teams on winning their grades... A Grade - Hard Drives B Grade - Fusions C Grade - Inappropriate Touching D Grade - We Don't Try We will be holding a day to celebrate as soon as we possibly can (once everything clears up) and will let you all know when this is. We thank you all for your efforts during the season and will keep you updated as things go forward. We hope that the further measures put into place by the State and Federal Government today and going forward will stem the virus and allow us to have a full season in the future. 20.01.2022 2019/2020 was another awesome season and we have a few people to thank for volunteering some time and helping us out throughout the season. The committee members, as always put in an amazing effort each year to ensure the season gets off the ground and runs as smoothly as possible. So a HUGE thank you to all our committee members. 20.01.2022 The first games of 2021 are tomorrow night, but before we kick off for the new year we have a couple of important notices to share..... Firstly, if you have been saving your bottles and uncrushed cans over the Christmas break we would love for you to support our state champs fundraising by donating your return to the association. You can deposit the cans and bottles yourself by dropping them off to: Return It 8 Bradford Street and use our code which is C10384608 - the money ...will be deposited straight in to our account. Alternatively bring your saved cans etc down to game nights and put them in the sulo bins provided. No donation is to small. Secondly, the total amount for team fee's was due by round 8 2020, but unfortunately there are still some teams who have outstanding fee's!! 13.01.2022 Thank you to those teams who have been supplying a ref to cover their team reffing duties so far!! Reminder to those who are reffing.... If you borrow a refs shirt or a whistle from the clubrooms, please return them after your game each week!! We wash the shirts and steralise/package the whistles for re-use the following week. If you have borrowed a whistle in the last couple of weeks and forgotten to return it, please make sure you drop it back in tonight!! We started the season with 50 whistles and more than half have not been returned!!

10.01.2022 Are you sad the touch season is almost over? Wish you could keep playing or training over the off season? Want to keep up your fitness and improve your game over winter? You can!! We are taking expressions of interest for the North West Touch Tournament being held in June!! Geraldton will send an Open Mixed team to the tournament. There will be weekly training sessions and all are welcome to attend. If you are keen to play or even just train please put your name on the expression of interest sheets in the clubrooms this week so we can keep you updated on trainings etc.

06.01.2022 Tonight is the final opportunity to nominate players who will be playing up for their aligned teams. Once nominated those players playing up must stay with that team for the entire finals series. No players other than those nominated by this Wednesday can join that team and players are only allowed to play one game per night for the finals series. To nominate those players playing up, please complete the form in the club rooms. Also, reminder that players must have played 3 games to qualify for finals!!

03.01.2022 PLEASE RETURN YOUR WHISTLES!!! The association provides whistles each week that can be borrowed by those who can't supply their own. We clean, sterilise and repackage them for re-use!! We appreciate that there are new refs stepping up and covering team ref duties, but we are not seeing our whistles be returned!! If you have borrowed a whistle this season and forgot to return it to the clubrooms when you finished, can you please return it before the end of next weeks games. THANK YOU!!!

03.01.2022 What an amazing weekend we've had playing the North West Touch Tournament in Exmouth. Unfortunately we went down to Hedland 10-9 in the grand final, but it was a bloody great game!! Thank you Exmouth Touch for putting on a great weekend!! Thanks also to Midwest Dentures & Mouthguards and Quiet Life Specialty Coffee and PFD Foods for your support.

We are also starting our State Champs fundraising early this season with a $100 raffle!! $2 per guess. All you have to do is guess the last 2 digits of the serial number on the $100 note we have hidden away and you will win the $100!! Come and see someone in the clubrooms to pick your numbers!!
