Owning a healthy dog of any breed nowadays is a challenge for the majority of Pet Owners world wide What to feed them-When to vaccinate them-Why to flea control them and the list goes on. Fact is there are not too many Pet Owners that can stand proud and claim that their dog is problem free and Vet free.... When it comes to vaccinating dogs, let’s just say there aren’t too many there that can also stand proud and understand what’s right from wrong. The lack of education of how resilient a dog is, to how immune systems are designed to work, right down to the knowledge of how detrimental a vaccine is as a yearly application. Our country, like many others are soooooooo far behind the when it comes to raising and keeping dogs with healthy immune systems. Our dog clubs, Kennel clubs, our Veterinarians and Breeders continue to do more harm to all breeds of dogs rather than having the understanding of how resilient a dog is and how immune systems are designed to work. Our 11 year old grey wolf ‘Reny’ wants to give you a few hints on how to achieve this below 1: Don’t just see a puppy for sale online and then expect to buy it because of its cuteness.... 2: Follow the breeders social media page for as long as you can 3: Distinguish the difference between a German Shepherd still the way they were bred to be as per 121 years ago and a German Shepherd that reflects a hyena bred for fashion with total disregard for overall function, health and well being. 4: Expect to see the breeders dogs on the property where they reside, not in a public place such as a park etc. 5: Don’t just ask to see the parents of the pup you’re expecting. Ask to see the entire pack of German Shepherds. See them run, how they react with strangers and of course inspect the overall condition of each German Shepherd. 6: Ensure the breeders dogs are actually fed their species appropriate diet and be satisfied that the breeders dogs are NOT subjected to annual poisonous vaccinations and constant poisonous flea controls. 7: Ensure the breeders German Shepherds are not housed in confined quarters such as pens and cages, or often tied up.
