24.01.2022 2011 BMW 320D N47 Engine, Timing chain being replaced. We have heard and seen a few of these coming up, a plastic guide fails and if not attended to ASAP, Will cause chain break and complete engine failure. If you hear a rattle or any unusual sounds, remember A stitch in time, saves nine in this case more like saves thousands.. Quite a few Diesels including X5 have the same engine, not just 3 series. Call us if you not sure.
