18.01.2022 CWLE Forbes cattle sale market report 24/8/2020 Yarding 783 Change 226... Numbers lifted this sale and quality continues to be mixed. There were some good lines of well bred finished cattle offered along with the plainer secondary types and an increased yarding of Bos Indicus bred cattle. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market. Yearling steers to processors were 2c to 4c dearer, to sell from 370c to 420c/kg. Plainer types to feed sold from 370c to 440c for medium weights and 369c to 408c/kg for heavies. Light steers to restockers reached 468c/kg. Yearling heifers to processors held steady to range in price from 350c to 420c/kg. Those to feed sold from 353c to 416c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks jumped 10c on a better offering to receive from 341c to 415c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 313c to 376c/kg. Cows eased 3c with heavy cows ranging in price from 280c to 313c/kg. The best heavy bull reached 320c/kg.

12.01.2022 Producers are reminded that as of 1 January 2021, only the latest version (version 0720) of the Livestock Production Assurance National Vendor Declaration (LPA ...NVD) is accepted for all species of livestock being transferred. Transfers completed using incorrect LPA NVD versions are a breach of the LPA rules and standards and may result in corrective action requests (CARs) being issued to the LPA-accredited producer, Producers are cautioned that high-order volumes coupled with increased pressure on the postal system have meant that a four to six-week turn-around period for hard copy NVD book orders should continue to be expected. The ISC Helpdesk (1800 683 111) can assist producers who do not have access to their LPA credentials, and/or do not have access to the internet on a device/computer by starting the consignment on their behalf. If producers still wish to use a LPA NVD book, orders can be placed via their LPA account where delivery progress can also be tracked. As part of the Accelerated Adoption Initiative, LPA NVD books will be provided at no cost for orders placed before 30 June 2021.
