25.01.2022 Working With You, Working For You

24.01.2022 Territory Labor Government will match $800,000 federal governments investment to upgrade Juno Centre facilities. The Juno Centre delivers accredited Vocational... Education and Training (VET) to both high school students and adults, with other VET providers able to access its facilities. The funding will go towards a covered horse arena, including lights and fans, and five additional transportable accomodation units to enable further participation in on-campus training. Since the Labor government opened the Juno Centre, its facilities have been used by students across the Barkly and the Northern Territory. The horse and cattle training that students undertake is of very high standard, and is only one of the two sites in the Territory registered by Horse Safety Australia to deliver equine training to school students. Territory #Labor Government is creating and maximising more #jobs as well as building a #skilled workforce, both now and into the future. Sid Vashist #Labor4Barkly #WorkingWithYou #WorkingForYou

23.01.2022 Good to catch up with the Purvis Family at their homelands on the Sandover and discuss our new Homelands policy that will enable our Government to built better ...homes in Homelands and Outstations. It’s important to make real and lasting improvements to quality-of-life for people living on country, including building new homes and providing the services that residents need. Our remote housing program has changed the housing and social landscape in communities across the Territory and extending our program into homelands will go a long way towards easing overcrowding and improving quality-of-life for residents. Vote 1 - Sid Vashist #Labor4Barkly #WorkingWithYou #WorkingForYou

22.01.2022 Good honest community engagement. Sandover Communities are looking forward to a Local Member who will be a strong representative and voice for their social, cultural and economic development. Sid Vashist and Labor are the only choice and their only hope! Gerry McCarthy

21.01.2022 Our borders will remain closed to travellers from Victoria and Sydney because we are not prepared to take risks with the health of Territorians, especially our most vulnerable Territorians in our remote communities.

13.01.2022 Territory Labor Government has delivered on its election promise for the $1.65 million installation of a brand-new Speedway Australia 4-Star wall & catch fence.... It was a great night last night with Day 2 of action to follow tonight. Well done to all the committee members and volunteers who are helping to make this event, one of the best in the Northern Territory. Previously this venue was rated for Sedan racing only, but the track can now host full fields of open wheel divisions, including SCCA Sprintcars. Labor delivers on it’s promises and will always deliver jobs and protect the Barkly economy. Sid Vashist #Labor4Barkly #WorkingWithYou #WorkingForYou

08.01.2022 One of the things that dragged my great grandfather Con Perry to Tennant was the smell of gold in the 30s. It ended up being the last gold rush in Australia. H...e knew it then, and I know it now - some of the buried treasure of the Territory is right here in the Barkly. The Territory’s heart of gold. It was fascinating to take a look at these high grade core samples uncovered by Castile Resources at the highly anticipated Rover Mineral Field south-west of Tennant Creek. Gerry McCarthy : Member for Barkly Sid Vashist: Labor Candidate for Barkly

05.01.2022 Our remote housing works, comprised of programs funded by the NT and Australian Governments, have produced the most significant changes to remote communities ever seen in the Northern Territory. Implemented during this term, this Territory Labor Government is leaving a proud and unprecedented record of achievement right across the NT.

04.01.2022 Great to visit Northern Transportables recently, one of the NT companies delivering homes to remote communities throughout the Territory. Barkly residents will soon see some of these homes at Ali Curung, Arlparra, Alpurrurulam, Elliott, Jilkminggan and Tara. Through Local Decision Making, the homes have been designed in partnership with communities to meet particular needs of residents such as those with disabilities or extended families. Our Government has built and upgrade...d around 2000 homes in remote communities. Chansey Paech MLA Sid Vashist: Labor Candidate for Barkly https://youtu.be/sueln3NuxSI
