She has tracked and polled how Queenslanders feel about the border closures, and made an announcement in accordance with that sentiment TODAY, one day before the state election. For years we have been told that farmers are hurting the reef but Dr Peter Ridd has done a tremendo...us job exposing the exaggerations that have encouraged governments to impose heavy restrictions on farming. It was great to join Dr Peter Ridd last night with Ken O'Dowd MP and Ron Harding in Gladstone at a discussion in Gladstone last night. As Dr Ridd, points out sediment from farms does not even make it to 97 per cent of the reef and the other 3 per cent of the reef is located in inshore areas that is naturally used to muddy water.
