23.01.2022 How are you, Melbourne? Hopefully not too badly, all things considered. Apologies for the radio silence- we’ve been keeping our head down whilst the COVID storm passes. Very happy to let you know that we are now able to resume face-to-face, in-person services, including eye examinations and fitting specs. Many of you have been in touch over the past few months. We will be in contact as soon as possible to arrange an appointment. With our COVID-safe plan in mind, appointments... will be extra long to ensure there is only one party in the store at a time. We appreciate your patience as we get things back to semi-normal! So please, drop us a line via the usual channels if you’ve been putting your eyecare and/or eyewear needs off. 16.01.2022 We are back! And very happy to be so. Thrilled to have emerged on the good side of a flattened curve in one piece. We will be opening the storefront for regular business and appointments from next Tuesday June 2nd.... For the next few weeks, our new (reduced) hours will be: Mon: closed Tue: 11am-5pm Wed: 11am-5pm Thurs: 11am-5pm Fri, Sat & Sun: closed We will continue to be available outside of these hours on an appointment basis. We look forward to continuing to see your lovely faces as we march on through this shitshow. Individual and community safety trumps everything else right now, and we thought you might like to know of some of the changes we’ve brought in. ~ social distancing: a limit of 3 people in the store front area ~ requesting (well, i...nsisting) a pump or two of hand sanitiser be applied prior to trying on frames ~ requesting that appointments be made for all services including collecting specs, adjustments and repairs ~ implementation of physical shield barriers for some aspects of the eye examination. ~ additional history- taking during examinations, especially with respect to recent travel and health We pride ourselves on being clean-freaks in normal times. You may be reassured to learn of some, but certainly not all, of our regular practices: ~ strict adherence to best practice hygiene for optometry testing, including eye testing equipment sanitised with alcohol wipes between every consultation ~ specs frames wipes over after each and every handling ~ daily cleaning and moping We welcome any questions or comments that you may have with respect to the above, or COVID-19 generally.
