20.01.2022 The entryway is on the upswing! Finally tackling some of our stuff, it's been getting in the way of everyday life, neither of us are great at letting go of things but the feeling of having an organised space is so game changing, refreshing and to be honest a little bit addictive. Did some nice little upcycling projects this week, the drawer shelves are Sarah's awesome idea and super easy to do, the chest of drawers was a winner for $15, a sand and some paint and it's a reall...y clean looking piece. 19.01.2022 https://youtu.be/r5dd2BkCGS8 Really fun DIY build this week, cost me a total of $11 for the tree and an old baking dish. I plan on doing more to the tree once it's had time to get used to the pot ( I have a habbit of killing plants) such as wiring a curve to the trunk and positioning some of the branches, it has good bones though. I unfortunately ended up covering half the root flair while I was messing around with it but the moss garden ended up pretty awesome :D think it mi...ght need more quartz though. 15.01.2022 We challenge you, next time you put together a flat pack, you gotta give this a try, it's a hard feeling to try to explain, normally when I assemble something I put together a mental model of how it goes together but then I have to you know.... put it together, when you do it blindfolded, the mental model IS you putting it together, when you take the blindfold off it's there... a physical object, the feeling you get strikes at something fundamental that is super hard to put i...nto words, it's an experience, 12/10 would recommend. 01.01.2022 Check out the video on youtube! :) https://youtu.be/Jc6XUYL3XVk Wooden "Bone Folder"made from an offcut of some blackwoood I had laying around, this has a wider blade that I normally see on bone folders but I like being able to use the wide blade for contact application and it gives more leverage on the side blade. Really fun sanding this on the belt sander, it's kinda like those mini skateboards from the 90s but a surfboard version :) I ... would recommend wearing better PPE than me in this video, it was rather confronting when it came to the editing :P See more
