22.01.2022 Not every phone call is a good one. This call came in last week from a customer in Rocton who sadly has lost there house in the recent fires that ripped through that area and are still on going around the district. We went down there and tested/checked everything out and salvaged what we could electrically wise(few sheds and an outbuilding) and made up a plan to set up some temporary power so the owners will be able to live back out at the property shortly. Today we set up a ...temporary board with a few outlets so they can use a generator for the time being until the powerlines are all rebuilt in order to power the transportable bedroom and bathroom that is arriving shortly for the owners. Plus power to help with the clean up and rebuilding process. Don’t hesitate to call if you need something sorted out, more then happy to help out in a time like this See more

22.01.2022 A recent board upgrade before the Xmas break. Removing the old asbestos meter panel and upgrading it to individual rcds on each circuit. Removing and handing in the old no longer used hot water meter (now gas instantaneous) so there’s no more $138 supply charge per quarter for it saving the customer money in the long run

22.01.2022 A recent call out from a customer saying that they had no working lights in the house and it kept on tripping the safety switch every time they tried to reset it. Stumbled across these little gems while in the roof space. Mice and birds will chew anything given the chance and a good reason why it's so important to have the correct protection on your switchboard to minimise the chance of faults and fires

21.01.2022 Recent feature lighting done in a customers hall way, bit brighter and safer then the candles they had

20.01.2022 Another new house finished off today in Bombala with Hontondo homes

19.01.2022 A Power upgrade and relocation. The old overhead service onto the house disconnected and removed with new underground mains ran into a new main switchboard on the new workshop shed, meter relocated to shed board and ready for the old existing house to be knocked down and rebuilt with keeping power on at the site. Power ran to existing old storage shed and house to keep occupant living in until its ready for its makeover, workshop temporarily wired with a few power points and a light to get by until its cemented, pit area dug/bricked up and shelving/bench areas in before final wiring of the shed

19.01.2022 A recent shed finished off late last week for the Bombala Rural fire service. Complete with suspended gpos for the battery chargers on the tankers, led lights throughout, hanging lights over bench areas, exit lights to meet building code/ DA and outside security lights on the front of the shed.

19.01.2022 After 2 lots of the old ikea specials it was time to finally put some decent lighting up to light up the artworks for sale like this 2m track light with 8x 9w led lights in black to match/flow with the look of this visitor information centre. Much brighter Then the old lights plus will last a lot longer to saving money in the long run

19.01.2022 A solid exposed hardwood portico finished today complete with 2x old coach lights on a sensor so will come on when a car pulls up in the driveway to show enough light to find the way down the steps. Also led downlights and led strip lighting routed into the timber beams coming on with the rest of the outside lights around the house to show the yard/garden of a evening/night. Sorry to make you work on a Sunday but couldn’t of done it without Em’s help

18.01.2022 Another good reason as to why safety switches (rcds) are life/house savers. This was a fault found today in a clients house. Mice had chewed the wires and they where shorting out inside an internal wall fully surrounded by old insulation. Perfect combo for a fire if they hadn’t of had rcds fitted to their switchboard to cut the power off under a fault like this

16.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Arnold the apprentice and I would just like to thank everyone for their continued support and help throughout another busy year in 2018 and look forward to what 2019 brings. See you all in jan 2019

15.01.2022 On Thursday we called upon Modern Voltage to come down and give me a hand to fix a callout from late Wednesday afternoon after a truck hit a pole at the saleyards and ended up ripping the overhead wires down aswell as breaking/damaging the lights. Ended up having to restring the overheads with new cables and replacing all the existing old lights with new 200w led ones. Much brighter and better to work under plus saving on the power consumption. A quick changeover from a sticky situation with little notice right before Xmas. Miraculously out of the 3 truck drivers there all from the same company no one knew what happened or how it happened.... cheers Chris for the help

13.01.2022 Working Sundays are a tough gig but when you have a later start, decent view over the Merimbula lake and ocean plus your client buys you breakfast, lunch and dinner it makes it a little easier to do. Here’s a few before and afters with pendants over dining table/bench to come later on. No job to big or small or to far away

10.01.2022 Some recent lighting done in a feature wall, a good way to make it stand out just that little bit more

10.01.2022 A recent sub board upgrade in an older renoed house. Forgot a before picture so here’s the after of how a board should look. Easy to follow/trace cables and not like the tipical rats nests that you regularly see

10.01.2022 Some before and afters of a recent kitchen and open living/dining area light upgrade that's been done, uses 1/2 the amount of power of the old Fluro lights and is 3x brighter

08.01.2022 First new house for the year finally roughed in(meant to start 2nd week in jan) and ready to go with another one to start in a few weeks time. Busy start to 2020 with the fires and all the other callouts plus generator setups

01.01.2022 A shearing shed upgrade completed today with new led lights throughout to brighten up the areas needed, individual shearing stands with an emergency stop cut out button for safety, extra gpo’s, switchboard upgrade and 2x 650mm fans to help reduced the sheep from sweating and improve the general airflow of an old tin shearing shed. Perfect little tax right off just before the end of financial year...

01.01.2022 Bit of a nasty surprise during a callout today. The client had called saying that their rcd kept on tripping and wouldn’t stay on/up. While tracing the fault the plumber was fixing a leaking pipe in the wall behind the shower and once the sheeting was stripped back we found this little gem due to a possum being abit hungry and stuck in the wall. So lucky that there was a safety switch on this house with it being so close to the copper shower pipes. It could of just been this landlords last shower ever if it didn’t have an rcd installed and a leaking shower... perfect combo together rcds save lives so if your worried about your switchboard/house/shed not being up to date and rcd protected give us a call on 0429204168 and I’ll come around and sort it out
