11.01.2022 Our playground and BBQ facilities at our three catchment storages on the Coliban River near Kyneton have reopened. The gradual easing of restrictions in Victori...a means all facilities at Upper Coliban, Lauriston and Malmsbury reservoirs are now open for people to enjoy. The use of on-water access points, playground and BBQs had been suspended since the beginning of April 2020 as part of the response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. From today, up to 20 people may gather at a BBQ at a community facility. It is still vitally important for visitors to our reservoirs to stay safe, follow the current guidelines and do their bit to slow the spread of coronavirus. 07.01.2022 Getaway Mini Caravan Hire We at getaway mini caravan want to support all the local community that has been affected by these devastating fires in Victoria & NSW.... We know that so many Caravan and Camping places who rely on Travelers and Campers at this time of year for their livelihood as this is their peak season have had a lot of cancellations. You should be aware that there are so many places that are open that are safe and not affected by the fires that you can enjoy with your family. We will continue to share places that we see advertised to boost the community. We thought we would try to help by lowering our fees to make it a bit more affordable for families to get out and enjoy. For the months of Jan, Feb, March our campers will be available for $79 a night and as an extra special book 5 nights get the 6th night free. We are pet friendly so you can take your fur baby with you camping, Let us help you on your next adventure All bookings made through Camplify web site. We are based in St Kilda

06.01.2022 ***Expanded Goat Sponsorship Project*** We have expanded our 'goat sponsorship' project in response to the generous support we have received, to tackle the curr...ent challenges and deal with the flood damage from 2018. Click on this link for details of what we have planned for our girls and the farm - https://mailchi.mp/893c1/tolpuddle-goat-sponsorship-6292331 We’d love to hear from anyone still keen to be involved, or to answer any questions - simply email [email protected]. Cheers, Melissa and Donovan x Hi Everyone, This is really difficult to write, because we aren’t very good at asking for help, but challenging times call for creativity. We are feeling creative today! Firstly, thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered their support. We have been brainstorming ways to keep things ticking over while visitor numbers are down but each idea takes us away from doing what’s most important, for the longer-term viability of our dairy farm and cheese business. Milk goats, make cheese, repeat! The biggest challenge we face is that we currently have loads of milk, but not too many customers. So, we are making hard cheeses that can be aged for release when all of our lovely visitors return to North East Victoria. But that leaves us in a tight spot. When the customers start to return to the region, we’ll be running out of milk. Talk about bad timing! Maintaining the health and wellbeing of our milking herd is all that matters. We have come up with a creative way that friends and followers of Tolpuddle can help us to achieve this and become a part of our story in 2020. You are invited to become a ‘sponsor’ of one of our girls. The cost of sponsorship is $86. Your sponsorship money will go directly towards meeting the feed and nutritional needs of one of our milking goats through the months ahead until she kids in Spring. In return, you will have the opportunity to name her kid(s). You will also be invited to visit the farm for an exclusive behind the scenes experience this Spring, where you will meet your sponsored goat and cuddle her babies. You will also receive a gift voucher for a complimentary cheese tasting platter and 2 glasses of Sam Miranda prosecco, which you can enjoy on your visit to Tolpuddle Farm. If you would like to sponsor one of our girls, simply send a PM to @tolpuddlecheese or email [email protected]. There’s no online shop set up for this, it’s something much more personal and we’d love to work with each of you individually. Thank you in advance for your support (and please tell us if you think this is a stupid idea!) 03.01.2022 These two water tanks at Collingullie in NSW were painted in May 2019 by Wiradjuri artist, Owen Lyons. These great images were supplied by Pete Broadhurst. I be...lieve they were painted to encourage travellers to rest a while at these stops, as although not pictured here, one has the inscription 'Better to be late than dead on time' See more
