16.01.2022 Great covid-recovery news! This week... BikeWise resumed the City of Sydney Schools excursion-day cycling coursesat Sydney Park. Created for 10 year olds to support children riding for transport... with real life practical experience and skills of what they need to do to make a local trip independently (ride to school?) ... An extremely practical course with most of the day ON BIKE! Bike checks & Basic control skills; sharing the way and concepts of priority; moving through busy areas; crossing driveways and side streets! FREE to all schools in the City of Sydney LGA. 16.01.2022 What a Year! Seasons Greetings to all Despite all the crisis based interruptions there were so many gains for transport cycling.... I guess Covid19 really showed up the advantages of two wheeled freedom in our Cities. Our last Sydney courses are next weekend- But Sunday is the Instructor Team’s Christmas wind- up... sun/ swim?/ beer/ wine/ food and riding:) In PERTH Patrick is hitting the Mundabiddi trail for a few days

The group freshened up basic control skills and shared path etiquette & techniques before heading off to check out some of the new off-street Cycleways nearby. Next week our award winning Cycling in the City course that takes in the inner city routes to the CBD with on-street drills for BikeWise’s Effective Cycling curriculum. 13.01.2022 An Easter holiday & new bits of infarstructure appreciation post. This morning’s ride into Albion St Surry Hills from around St Peters to gather some Easter Buns was a good start to the holidays. Smiles at passing people walking their dogs, children, themselves, noticing new street art , the sky , buildings, moon, reinforced the connecting community & places cycling gives. 11.01.2022 Before we started this weekend’s class, no one had tried to change a tube before. By the time we finished, we had all removed the wheels off our bikes and changed the tubes in our tyres. 08.01.2022 PERTH- good to be getting Instructor work again in Ptown- has been a quiet old Covid time til this month. This morning was a Ride-to-Work session between Doubleview and Leederville with Caroline & Renee from #CityofVincent... aside from some traffic theory and basic control skills we travelled into town taking in some awesome NEW infrastructure- Mitchell freeway PSP is a credit to #wadepartmentoftransport... and #cityofstirling Refreshing!!

07.01.2022 Balance Bike Clinic is running during the school holidays! Lots of fun for everyone. Starts Tuesday 6 April .Finishes Saturday 17 th April. Not on Sunday 11 th April . Balance Bike Clinic will not operate Easter Saturday the 3rd April. Just turn up between 9am- 11 am . We have helmets & bikes.
