25.01.2022 Stopped into ONYX CAFE Traralgon today to pick up lunch and a little treat for later. Did you know their slices are all made in house? Also some vital coffee supplies from Disciple Coffee Roasters. Drop in and see the guys and girls at Onyx or ring for take away meals.

22.01.2022 Even with regular preventative maintenance unfortunate things can happen, a shorted heating element led to the terminal post burning completely off leaving this machine unusable. Luckily we have loan coffee machines and grinders that clients can use to keep their business running until new parts arrived. 22.01.2022 In most single boiler coffee machines the heat element is controlled by a Pressure Stat, which is a pressure operated switch. Any time your machine is turned on the pressure stat is constantly opening and closing to control the temperature of the boiler, over time the contacts burn away due to the arc created every time it operates. You can see in this picture the effect on the old unit, burnt contacts lead to longer heating times, not something that is ideal when your busy.... I replace these on an annual basis to keep your machine working as efficiently as possible. Here today to get this machine running again, one group had no flow at all and its flow restrictor was blocked with scale. 18.01.2022 The coffee grinder is often an item which is overlooked when it comes to maintenance, the condition of the burrs in your coffee grinder have a significant effect on the taste of your coffee and if left long enough can damage the grinder itself. Burrs have a finite life span, the lower burr in this photo is well past its optimum and has visibly rounded edges compared to the new item on top, this leads to a longer grind time and more heat being put into your coffee, meaning poor tasting coffee. 11.01.2022 I had a quick trip down to Leongatha this morning to visit Maria at Milly & Romeos: Artisan Bakery and Cooking School to replace a faulty solenoid valve, now they have two operating groups again. If you are partial to a scone with jam and cream, I do recommend dropping in and grabbing one, theyre pretty good.

04.01.2022 Well this was an interesting one. Machine didn't work at all. There are something that I can't fix. By no ones fault the power supply to this coffee machine has burnt out, quite spectacularly i might add. The plug and socket are correctly rated for the machine, id say some moisture got in there at some point and once it was damaged it just got worse unfortunately.
