16.01.2022 Here we are again cleaning up after a dry cleaning companies poor efforts ( before and afters). Although it’s a couple months since our client used a company with ‘Dry’ in their business name, we were advised that she didn’t use them again due to these large grey smudge marks appearing 2 days after the job was done. I will say it again...if stain removers aren’t extracted with steam cleaning methods like we use at Get Fresh Carpet Cleaning, then residue will be left in the carpet which picks up dirt, dust and airborne contaminants thus creating big grey marks within a few days. Dry cleaning methods do not give good results on excessively dirty or stained carpets...for your own benefits please do your due diligence. Even if you don’t use our services at Get Fresh you can still message me with any questions and I’ll answer best I can

15.01.2022 Small flood from ingress of rain water. Always awkward when water damage is middle of a long corridor, we don’t like to cut the Carpet to access airflow underneath so luckily I managed to squeeze the blower in from the edge. If flood is at end of a corridor it’s easy to just pull up and place blower under from the end, but central corridors many times have to be cut, we were lucky on this occasion

12.01.2022 Carpet Dry Cleaning Vs Carpet Steam Cleaning Our client called to book us in after the disappointment when she moved into her rental (and rightly so).The carpets were cleaned the day before she moved in and this was how the previous tenants carpet cleaner left it before we came to the rescue My experience seeing these results would say that it wasn’t steam cleaned but only dry cleaned. All the marks will be residue left from stain removers once dried. One of the problems ...with dry cleaning is that if the wrong chemicals are used then this is what happens Why? Most chemicals for stain treatment must be extracted and neutralised to avoid residue and carpet wicking, unfortunately dry cleaning doesn’t involve extraction, it’s just a spinning action with a buffing pad after spraying a shampoo...the results are poor. That is the beauty of our hot water extraction steam cleaning methods which we use at Get Fresh Carpet Cleaning. The results in these photos should clarify the difference between the job we do compared to some of the less caring and lack of effort from our competitors.

01.01.2022 Occasionally I get asked ‘why does upholstery cleaning cost so much?’ Well because it takes a long time...this video is just one small back cushion from a 6 seater corner sofa. There is 7 of these to clean + 6 large base cushions and they are all double sided. Then there is also the main structure of the sofa to clean...back, front, sides and arms. This particular suite is reasonably clean, the ones we take of that are excessively stained can take 4-5 hours so when you consider the work, chemicals, and machine expenses involved it isn’t expensive, most people just don’t realise what is involved
