In what's hoped to be the first of many more to come, the food council has held a chef farm tour in Manjimup, with chefs from all over the state taking a tour of a number of local farms. The food councils Agritourism Co-ordinator Sophie Zalokar, who is also a chef, said it was all about bridging the divide between the grower and the chef so each could learn from each other. "The challenge for primary producers now is that the demands on their time has increased because they're not put in a position to have to market what they do as well," she said.
