Why do we do it? ...Fear of being overwhelmed and not being able to cope ...Fear of what people think ...Fear of Failure! In other words Fear of the UNKNOWN. But if you're a business owner, surely "unknown" is common to you? You've probably heard this before - FEAR stands for "False Evidence Appearing Real". You don't go into business and think "I'm going to have a SAFE business where I know exactly how many clients and how many sales I will have and where they will come from". 18.01.2022 Productivity Tip // It sounds so obvious but checking your email first thing in the morning when you get to the office, is very bad for your productivity. Because what you see in your inbox dictates what you do next, NOT what you planned to do. Non-urgent emails are a dangerous distraction and one of the most difficult temptations to resist once you’re in your inbox. Low-level emails steal time away from high level money-making activities like solving customer problems, doi...ng marketing, focusing on sales activities and building leverage in your business. How To Do It Better 1 Decide on 2-3 dedicated times to check your email during the day and do not check it in between e.g. 8am, 12pm and 5pm 2 Add a notification to all your outgoing email to inform the sender by when they can expect to hear back from you. 3 Include instructions on what to do and who to contact in case of an emergency 4 Learn to delegate email checking to staff or a virtual assistant who can scan your email and only let you deal with the important issues 5 Set up standard email templates so your staff or a virtual assistant can easily answer various email inquiries correctly and up to standard 6 Ruthlessly unsubscribe from and delete non-urgent email. We've seen two people running in exactly the same direction, one keeps going and the other gives up. When I first started in business this was something I really struggled with. We see so many businesses make simple mistakes that are costing them $$$$thousands $$$ When we work with our Get It Done clients on their marketing they have so many "aha" moments. So many amazing learnings!... We start with getting clear on your target audience - the most important step that always gers missed. Then we go deeper into the emotional level...what are your target audience's fears, frustrations, wants and aspirations. By thinking about this and spending the time to really get to know your audience will help when it comes to putting your marketing together. If you knew your target audience were struggling with "x" then your messaging, image and content can tap into that. Then you need your marketing to stand out otherwise you'll blend into the noise. 01.01.2022 5 Ideas To Create Better Cashflow In Your Business Without Spending More Money 1. Invoice faster: Don’t wait for the end of the month to invoice. Depending on your business, invoice at least 50% upfront and then in increments until the project is completed. Or invoice the moment the work is completed. 2. Shorten payment terms: Change your payment terms from 30 days to 14 days, or ideally 7 days from issuing the invoice. It might not work for all clients, but it will work for ...most. 3. Simplify your business. Know how much time you spend on completing a project and weed out projects that consistently run over time and/or aren’t making a profit. The same for clients who demand a lot for a low fee replace them with clients who are a pleasure to work with, are happy to pay you what you’re worth and who pay you on time. 4. Work smarter. If you can reduce the hours it takes you to complete a project by creating processes, outsourcing certain tasks or automating parts of tasks, without sacrificing quality, you can fit in 1-2 extra projects per month. 5.
