25.01.2022 These four Finalists are ensuring we all have an opportunity to benefit from being physically active on a regular basis. Healthy Hobart deliver free physical... activity sessions establish connections between community members and existing services, and increase use of council managed parks and recreation facilities with over 30 providers delivering sessions to 3,151 participants. Surf Life Saving Tasmania created the Starfish Nippers Come and Try Program to provide young people with disabilities and serious illness, the opportunity to participate in a recreational activity as part of a long-lasting sustainable Special Needs Inclusion Strategy. Women's Health Tasmania provides health promotion activities to Tasmanian women over 18 years old. They have provided 4,651 occasions of service or opportunities. They support those experiencing anxiety and depression, refugees and Aboriginal women. George Town Council - Healthy George Town Program is an evidenced-based community health and wellbeing initiative aimed at strengthening connections, resilience and getting people moving. They deliver free programs to participants aged between 7 and 82 years. The Get Moving Tasmania Physical Activity Award Finalists are all entered into the People’s Choice Award. The Royal Commission is expected to address systemic issues and contributing risk factors to defence and veteran suicide. Nominate here ...http://bit.ly/TASCAA_Nomination Risdon Vale Bike Collective restores, sells and rides bikes whilst increasing social cohesion, work readiness skills and recreational opportunities and providing a place for young people to grow. Workshop sessions are held each week with up to 30 participants aged 10 to 18. They also run regular ride days and multi-day Mountain biking camps. In the past two years, they have assisted over 60 participants.

CPS has been given 34 pedometers in total, wh...ich will enable our students to engage in some awesome numeracy and fitness based learning experiences. On Friday, Junior Class had a ball completing a series of numeracy challenges, using the pedometers.
