21.01.2022 RIITTA "YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD!" Making the decision to get fit and in better shape was the biggest hurdle - but meeting Sarah and starting training with her has been heaps of fun! She has the ability to push you to your limits and really challenges you to do your best. Even having a few issues, she has found a way around it to make the exercises just right for me. I have gained real love in exercise and Sarah has motivated me in the right way. Best bonus of all is the ...weight loss. Following Sarah’s advice for meals and regular exercise has exceeded all my expectations. I feel better in myself and I have so much more energy. So, if I can do it, I bet anybody can, especially with Sarah!

Slice your cheese - Dont feel you can’t enjoy cheese when focusing on losing body fat. It’s all in portion control. 3. Throw together in a bowl with mixed leaves, rocket, tomatoes and hamEnjoy Raspberries with 2 dark choc squares for dessert. Yes, I do eat chocolate EVERY DAY. Planning your treats is key to success.

It's been nerve-wracking stepping out on my own, but I know I have the interest and experience in helping people achieve their fitness goals and motivate them to be stronger and healthier. 12.01.2022 The Biggest problem for weight management- PORTION DISTORTION. I am 162cm in height. This is all I need in a meal. It contains great macro balance, will promote satiety, which will keep me going for the next 3-4 hrs. I will need to pack in my salads and veggies for the rest of the day because I just didn’t fancy any of that for my breakfast today, but that’s fine. Your nutrition can look awesome on paper/ in your food tracking app, but is it simply enough for 2 people. My breakfast was approximately 1500kj’s ,that’s enough. PORTION DISTORTION- IS THIS YOUR PROBLEM ???
12.01.2022 During 2019 I enjoyed sharing some of the success stories for weight loss. Many clients experienced success with losing body fat last year and it is a privilege to be part of that journey. However, fitness goals are different for all people. Some have multiple goals and that’s fine, as long as we prioritise well and keep focused. This week I would like to celebrate Hannah’s success. Hannah has worked with me for some time now and has developed a love of strength training.... She is very consistent with her program and focuses well on increasing weight lifting targets as outlined. The key to success in keeping the body strong is to adopt the same attitude to training as we do to eating and sleeping. We are not going to skip out on these daily requirements. Aiming to train 2/3 days per week to start with and alter that workload appropriately over time. Having clear structure is imperative. In Hannah’s current program we are working on a quad dominant squat. For this to be effective her heels are raised on plates. Awesome work Hannah, your work ethic is a fine example, keep it up. 11.01.2022 MAX ‘MY JOURNEY SO FAR’ I started training with Sarah two times a week in May 2018. I was a solid 95kg, unfit and pretty much ached all over specifically from back pain. My goals were to lose weight and to just feel better. Sarah went to work - measuring, listening and over a period of a few weeks, designed my training around improving my core strength, stretching long lost key muscle areas and talking me through healthy long lasting diet choices. All the time understandin...g that my motivation and attitude needed constant massaging! Sarah’s knowledge, skills and attitude was always and still is, a refreshing surprise to me. During the year my wife also started working with Sarah with a very different set of needs and goals and again I have been so impressed with the structured plan that has emerged there. Well, 12 mths later I have shed 20kgs, have greater core strength and just feel a lot better! However the real surprise is that I now enjoy so much more flexibility and greater balance. I don’t fear doing up my shoe laces, I can raise my legs to a horizontal position and stand easily on one leg while dressing... little things I know but huge factors in my daily routine and my personal self-esteem. So the weight loss has been amazing but it’s all the other bits that have surprised me. Sarah listens, designs short and long term targets and goals and then tailors a program that is all about client needs! It’s been a fun and rewarding time and I am looking forward to the next 12 months!

05.01.2022 BALANCE + CORE STRENGTH This week I would like to celebrate Iula’s success. Iula has been working with me throughout 2019 and now into this year. She wishes to be generally fit and strong as she gets older. However, her main priorities surround improving balance and core strength. The attached video shows a great example of how hard she has worked to be able to perform this now. A quality exercise program should demonstrate clear progressions. Iula and I have worked her up t...o the fitball challenge you see here. This is not easy( Very Nice work ). As Iula’s coach it is my job to enter the right movements at the right times and guide her with correct form( no exercise is likely to be perfect first time round). It is her job to be consistent with attendance and dedication to self care inbetween PT sessions. She is a very busy person, but priorities her wellbeing beautifully. STRENGTHENING YOUR BODY INCREASES PRODUCTIVITY IN ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE. Everything is easier when you are fit and strong, so never skip out on that training session . See more
02.01.2022 Lisa came to me with a very specific goal to look her best before her role as chief bridesmaid for a good friend. In 8 weeks, Lisa had lost 6kgs and was ready for the big day. I love helping my clients with their short term goals for special occasions and also working with them going forward with a more ‘slow and steady’ approach to bring lasting results and positive and permanent lifestyle changes.
